Great communication and seamless organization. Great bikes and an amazing route. Goo meals, including a group breakfast in the morning, snacks throughout the day, and lunch after the ride . Very friendly and dedicated guides. They even achieved to fix a technical issue with the bus and ensure we got home on time. I highly recommend this tour operator!
We loved our Death Road Bike trip, Remy and Álvaro were great and really looked after us. We were well informed on the day and any harder parts of the course which made the day much more fun. It was well organised and good value for money.
I came back to Bolivia especially for riding the death road. And Barracuda and our guides Maruicio and Cristian made it 100% worth it. It was such a nice experience! The bikes were great and the route was beautiful. Everything was well organised: the snacks and lunch, the great photo's and videos, the t-shirt and the best end of the day: the swimmingpool! I truly loved it and I would 100% recommend Barracuda for the death road.

We had a fabulous day with Cristian & Claudio - we were slightly nervous before but the reviews say it all! We were made to feel safe at every stage. We started off with 20 miles downhill on the new tarmac road which gave us a chance to get used to our bikes. The Death Road itself is pretty bumpy and single lane at many points, but the suspension on the mountain bikes eased the journey. We made multiple stops and were offered lots of advice about the upcoming section at each stop and had numerous photos taken (all shared afterwards). We were provided with breakfast at the initial briefing, a sandwich midway and then buffet lunch and swim at the hotel at the end. Scenery and views were spectacular. It was a long day, with 7am meet and 9pm return to La Paz. All credit to the driver of our bus for his safe driving and for accompanying us down the road with all our gear. We were a family of 4 and all really enjoyed.

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Barracuda Biking in Bolivia. From beginning to end, the entire trip was extremely well organized, professional, and genuinely fun. My guides, Marcelo and Claudio, were both fantastic. They spoke great English, were incredibly knowledgeable, and did an excellent job explaining what to expect throughout the ride. They were easygoing, fun to be around, and clearly very experienced. Most importantly, at no point did I ever feel rushed or unsafe. They allowed everyone to ride at a comfortable pace while still keeping the group moving, and they always seemed to know exactly when to stop, regroup, check equipment, or give us a heads-up about what was coming next. Jose, our driver, was also excellent and was a big part of making the entire day run smoothly. Between the guides and support vehicle, you always felt like the team had everything under control. Riding Death Road was one of the main reasons I traveled to Bolivia, so I had pretty high expectations going into it. Barracuda absolutely delivered. The scenery was incredible, the bikes and equipment were well maintained, and the transition from the cold, high-altitude start to the warm, tropical environment near the bottom made the experience even more memorable. What I appreciated most was that the day never felt like they were simply trying to get us through the route and move on to the next group. Marcelo and Claudio gave us time to enjoy the scenery, take photos, ask questions, and actually experience where we were. If you’re considering biking Death Road while in Bolivia, I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending Barracuda Biking. Marcelo, Claudio, and Jose made an already incredible experience even better. Easily one of the highlights of my trip to Bolivia and something I’ll remember for a very long time. Five stars without question.

The guides were great, keeping the atmosphere light so that people would not get nervous. They were very clear about what we needed to do and what they expected.
