The panoramic views were something else (absolutely beautiful). Our guides, Cristian and Ruben, shared many stories about the famous road. Everything was handled with a strong focus on safety. I went on the 3rd of august 2026. It was amazing! Very friendly guides that give you good advise and information about the route and are always there to help or check on you. It was a once in a lifetime experience you cannot miss!
Our son recommended that we did the Death Road cycle trip with Barracuda. Our guide Chelo was great, always safety conscious and had a good measure of our pace. Lovely group ranging in ages from teens all the way through to us in our late 50s. Felt completely safe but also enjoyed the spectacular scenery. Felt strange to be starting out in snow and then ending up at the end on tropical humidity - a swim and shower at the end was much appreciated.

I was the slowest one in the group, but the awesome guides Cristian and Ruben never made me feel bad about it. They always checked in with me and made sure I was safe and having fun. Ended with an awesome swim in the pool in the middle of the jungle!

I booked directly with the Barracuda agency and joined a group of 7 others for this full day trip. Exceptional value with breakfast , snacks , water and a late lunch included in the price. Our guides were Remy and Cecil. They were entertaining, professional, patient and had a high focus on safety. The bikes are full suspension and very well maintained. I wouldn't recommend this ride to a nervous inexperienced mountain biker as some parts were quite rough however there is always the option to jump back on the bus if you don't feel comfortable and you will still enjoy the incredible views. The bus driver was also excellent and we all felt relaxed enough to fall asleep on the long drive back to La Paz. I highly recommend this company and this experience. 10 out of 10.
