Our guide, Eric, was amazing. He was passionate and knowledgeable about Bandol, Cassis, the Provence terroir, and the vineyards, as well as their families. We learned about the origins of their vineyards and how these families continue to shape the region and industry. The wine tastings were generous and vineyard family members were present and spoke to us at each of the three vineyards. This was the best trip I have had of any kind. Pickup and drop off was convenient and centrally located. Transportation was excellent. Eric is a true ambassador of Provence and France. Highly recommended. Jeff H.

Our guide was amazing! Super knowledgeable about all the wine, the region, and the family’s who own them. Cassis was an absolute beautiful little town, I wish I had a bit more time to explore. Highly recommended! 10/10

Learning experience
This tour was very educational. If you are knowledgeable in French wine you will not find this tour of value considering the price. However, I am not and learned a lot. Our guide “Frenchie” was a wealth of knowledge. We had small tasting (2-3 sips) of four different wines at 2 beautiful wineries. There is no crackers or bread which may not be a thing in France. For me it seems important to taste the flavours, so although the wines were good they did feel very similar for the most part. I think if I had something to clear the pallet in between the taste would be different and would allow a bit more time to enjoy. I also cannot drink wine fast and felt rushed in between tastings. Again, I love wine but I am no expert. Pick up at the port was so easy and so convenient. We were picked right up outside the gate from our cruise and dropped off there too. We left at 11 am and were returned at 4:20 pm. We paid nearly five hundred Canadian for two people. So it was expensive for what we received in wine but for the knowledge and convenience I have no regrets.

Regarding food during the tastings, you are correct that in France, most wineries do not traditionally serve snacks, bread, or crackers with their wines. Tastings are generally designed to focus entirely on the wines and their characteristics, without food potentially altering the palate and the perception of aromas and flavours.
We’re sorry that you felt a little rushed during some of the tastings. With your ship’s schedule that day, the timing was unfortunately quite tight, and for our cruise guests we always allow a comfortable safety margin for the return journey to ensure everyone is back at the port well before the ship’s departure.
We’re nevertheless very happy that you enjoyed discovering the wineries, learned a lot about French wines, and felt that the experience and knowledge gained made the day worthwhile. Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback!

Eric was an amazing tour...
Eric was an amazing tour guide! We visited three wineries and were impressed by how much he knew and was able to share about the wineries and how the wines were made. We even got to experience a beautiful overlook over Cassis which was amazing! One of the people in our group left their cellphone in the van and he went above and beyond to return it to us before we departed. Definitely would recommend!

An unforgettable experience
The trip was amazing!! We were able to experience so much and learn so much as well, it was extremely affordable for everything that we were able to do. Eric was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating. He was very personable and knew all of his facts very well too. I would absolutely recommend this trip for anyone. There was only one other family with us so it was very easy to get to know one another and to be able to share the experience with each other. The vineyards were absolutely beautiful as well, unlike anything I had ever seen before. The trip lasted almost the whole day and was absolutely amazing. I would definitely recommend Eric.

Great, Relaxing Wine Tour
The tour was amazing. It was a very relaxing day spent along the south coast of France. We saw several wine vineyards and all of them were incredible. The people who worked there were incredibly friendly and inviting. Our tour guide also knew so much about the vineyards and the wine, discussing the agricultural side of wine making with us as well. Highly recommend!

Eric is a legend

Excellent experience wine tasting in France
This full day wine tasting was a great experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and we learned so much. He had a great rapport with the winery owners which allowed us to try some special wines and even meet the owners. I liked that you got to visit 2 distinct areas of wine so that there was a flavor profile for everyone. The wineries felt private, no large crowds in April. Highly recommend and worth the money.
