Booked via trip advisor. Not sure why they call it a skip the line pass but the guide communicated extremely well via whats app and got tix for us. Moneky forest was lovely we learned a lot about hindu practices and had someone to explain what we were looking at. Guide also brought us water and was kind. Would not have enjoyed activity as much without a guide. Would definitely recommend!
We really enjoyed visiting the monkey forest. The atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately our guide Rama was 25 minutes late and then had to queue to get tickets. He was knowledgeable and gentle however we were disappointed the tour only lasted 45 minutes as he had another group waiting. We continued to explore the forest for another hour and discovered areas we had not been to on the tour. Recommend getting there for opening as it gets busy quickly!
We really enjoyed the monkey forest. It was nice to see the monkeys especially at feeding time. They were not aggressive as long as you were calm around them and didn't provoke them. Our guide Rama was fantastic. He explained everything very well and took us to a few extra locations afterwards.

Visiting the Sacred Monkey Forest was a highlight of our trip, largely thanks to our incredible guide, Buda. He was extremely friendly, welcoming, and brought so many laughs to the tour while navigating the hilarious "monkey business" around us. Buda is incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the monkeys themselves, but also about Hinduism and Balinese culture, which gave us a much deeper appreciation for the space. He also made sure we felt completely safe, clearly explaining the do’s and don’ts of interacting with the monkeys right from the start. Honestly, without a guide, we would have missed or overlooked so many beautiful parts of the forest and temples. Do yourself a favor and book a tour with Buda! 5 stars all the way.

Majha our guide made contact 30 mins before our tour, which is always appreciated. He took us through the Monkey Forest explain the significance of the statues that greeted us and the temples. It was interesting to learn about the monkey factions/tribes and how they don't always get on and are quite territorial. I think a guided tour is something not to pass up if you don't want to pass up.

My sister and I made a last-minute decision to take this tour with Ryan. Very glad we did. We learned a lot about the sanctuary and the monkeys, but also learned a ton about Hinduism and the three temples within the sanctuary. Ryan answered all of our questions, went at a sedate pace, and was very kind and welcoming. Plus, a monkey briefly jumped on our shoulders, which was a highlight as well.
