Our guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable. We covered a lot of areas during the tour. There is a lot of walking to the points of interest.
Talked more about Jewish artist showed us buildings. Did not go into synagogues and went into museum to use bathroom but no time in holocust museum. Very disappointed
Thank you for your review. Our Jewish Heritage tour is focused on the neighborhoods of Le Marais and Montmartre, and the prominent Jewish personalities who lived there. This tour excludes entry to monuments and the synagogue. All this information is clearly stated in the description of the tour, along with inclusions and exclusions. Unfortunately, the points you are mentioning were not part of the tour you purchased. We hope you enjoy Paris !
Guide was informative and very patient very knowledgeable about art and some jewish history. He answered questions and was open to making everyone feel heard and comfortable
Pierre Louis is so knowledgeable and we learned so much. He has a tremendous wealth of knowledge regarding Jewish history Parisian history and art. He taught us so many things that we never knew. This was a great tour and we recommend it to anyone who has an interest in Jewish history.
The knowledgeable guide was excellent. However the tour does not include any visits inside the famous 1913 synagogue, cheddar, or the Shoah. Except for the garden memorial to holocaust children, I had already seen the Pletzel. The tea shop visit at the end of the tour was expensive and immaterial.
While Viator only allows whole star ratings, this was likely a 4.5 (which I rounded up). We loved the content and very much appreciated the benefit of being in a small group (just us and another couple). Our guide had an exceptional depth of knowledge and truly enjoyed sharing it with us. Our only criticism is that the tour started out very slow and we really weren’t understanding (at first) how the Jewish history of the area was going to eventually become the core of our tour. Had our guide contextualized a bit better right at the beginning and laid out the sequence of what we were seeing we would’ve felt more relevance in the first half hour. With that said, when we look back it was a truly great morning!
We had a great tour guide, Pierre Louis, who was knowledgeable and made the tour interesting. There are so many “hidden” markers of past Jewish life that we would never had discovered on our own. Two hours was perfect.
