If you are lucky to have Gaby as your guide, you will be in for a treat … full of energy, she answered all questions, was full of information and kept the group on time on schedule … but more importantly she managed to make it feel as if we were on a private tour even though we were a group of 20 … she spent one on one time with everyone … incredible tour guide
Great day out. Oliver brings fun and knowledge to this tour and was an excellent organiser of the group to ensure we had the most from our day. Thank you
The Tour and Tour Guide Brandon was great. Booking and communication with Viator App / WhatsApp was smooth. The Bone Church itself, while interesting, was underwhelming to dedicate a whole day to it.
The Tour guide, i think the name was Oliver, was very motivated, professional, and really gave an effort at being engaging despite the hot temperatures and slight organizational hiccups here and there
Oliver was a great tour guide. very informative and kind. great experience. took us to great sites to see
A well-organized trip by public transportation to Kutná Hora, an interesting silver mining town from the Middle Ages. Brandon is a native English speaker and gave us the key facts about each location, the town cathedral, mint, and the bone chapel in Sedlec. He recommended great places to grab lunch. Altogether interesting sites and a smooth day trip.
It was a nice tour, and our guide was very nice and knowledgeable! The oy issue was using multiple public transportation trains and busses.
I may be in the minority, but Kutná Hora was one of the more disappointing parts of my trip to the Czech Republic. The Bone Church is certainly unique, but it is much smaller than expected and didn't justify the travel time from Prague for me. The town itself is pleasant enough, but I didn't find the attractions particularly compelling compared to everything Prague has to offer. It was a 30 person group which is pretty hard to accommodate for, and at least a dozen of us didn’t have seats on the hour+ long train ride over to Kutna Hora. The guide was great, but logistically, it was a nightmare and the bone church was just ok, especially compared with all of the beautiful things to do in and around Prague. The highlight of the day was actually an authentic Czech lunch in town, which was delicious and gave us a glimpse of local culture. If you have limited time in the Czech Republic, I would prioritize Prague, Bohemian Switzerland, or other day trips before choosing Kutná Hora.
I loved this trip. One of my favourite parts was actually meeting at the Prague station and taking the train out of the old town and seeing more of Czechia. The Bone chapel was interesting as was the cathedral we visited. Our guide Libor organized a fantastic lunch (was our expense as we expected but very reasonable price). If you go to the same place I’d suggest at least one of you get goat cheese salad. Was a bit chaotic at the start due to a change of train “wagons” - but Libor figured it out and frankly only added to charm of the day. I would highly recommend - especially if you want to get out of Prague for a day.
An interesting day trip to the town of Kutna Hora which used to be well known for silver mining and was the financial center of Prague in the past. The highlight of the trip was the ossuary where thousands of bones dug up during the black plague to make room for new corpses have been turned into creative arrangements such as coat of arms and chandeliers. The tour guide Yan was helpful, information and guided the tour well and well managed a transportation issue we had while returning to Prague. Unfortunately most of tour time was spent on the train, and the bus. Other than the ossuary (where we spent about 20 mins) the tour does not have much to offer
