If you're thinking about booking the SANDEMANS Third Reich Tour, just do it. It was easily one of the best tours I did in Berlin. Nir was an outstanding guide. You could tell he really knows the history, but what made the tour special was how he explained everything in a way that was interesting, balanced, and easy to follow. It never felt like a history lecture—it felt like walking through the city with someone who genuinely wanted you to understand what happened and why it still matters today. The tour gives so much context to places you would otherwise just walk past without a second thought. After it, I looked at Berlin in a completely different way. I've done quite a few walking tours while travelling, and this was one of the best. If you're visiting Berlin and want to understand the city's history beyond the guidebooks, this tour is absolutely worth your time. Huge thanks to Nir for making such a difficult subject so engaging and memorable.

What can I say? We met Simon today at the agreed time and place with a group of about 20/25 others. What a knowledgeable and engaging tour we had. Simon was amazing. His knowledge was excellent and he kept us engaged for the whole 2 hours. My 13yr old History loving daughter was fascinated from start to finish and has definitely said she's going back to school next week to teach her History teacher. The pace was fine for my mother who's early 70's. I really recommend this tour. Absolutely fascinating from start to finish. Well done Simon. 5* from all of us. (We booked under the name Towell)

This was the BEST Third Reich Walking Tour!!! Don’t hesitate to book this tour when you’re in Berlin.

On a very wet, windy Friday with hail as well, I joined a walking tour of Jewish Berlin with two others and our Guide Nir. It was a fascinating tour and Nir being so knowledgeable, personable and inclusive made the tour really enjoyable despite the dreadful weather. In fact the three of us rearranged our Saturday so we could be with Nir again on a walking tour of the Third Reich. This was a large group and we saw amongst other things, the Holocaust memorial, Hitler’s bunker, some of the old Berlin Wall and Checkpoint Charlie. Despite the size of the group Nir managed to involve everyone in the conversations, to keep everyone interested and to keep us all together. Congratulations to Sandemans for having such a great tour guide and for providing such interesting tours.

Third reich tour was a nice experience, athough slightly abridged because of the football championship taking some important spots. The guide, Marcel, was great, found a way to circumnavigate these special circumstances and managed the group well. Very informative and funny, recommended!

After reading the itinerary of the Third Reich walking tour, I was very keen to book. However, it soon became apparent that at each stop we were being given a generic overview of the history of the Nazis and WWIi rather than details about the history of the areas we were visiting. For example, at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews, there was no mention of the fact that it was located partly on the site of Goebbels Berlin villa - a very significant fact! Although it is stated that Hitler’s bunker location is part of the tour, it was only included in our tour because I asked, and when there, no info was provided about the site until I asked questions. However, the answers given were very insightful. The tour guide was really friendly and, of course, extremely knowledgeable - but for anyone who is also knowledgeable on the wider history of Nazi Germany and WWII, this tour is not for you - it is telling you much of what you already know. Disappointingly and frustratingly, specific history about specific areas of Nazi Berlin is not what this walk is about. It is not a poor walk, but the content was different to our expectations. We paid the optional fees upfront, and paid the guide for their work before departing the walk.

Highly recommend this walking tour. The guide Marcel was excellent and very informative. Most of the 2.5 hr tour was by foot, with a short S-bahn ride.

My husband and I attended the Third Reich tour with Marcel and had a great time. Marcel was a brilliant tour guide - very informative, friendly and kept the tour moving at a great pace. The tour content was really interesting and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn a bit more about this beautiful city and this time in history.
