I did this and a tour to Sinhaghad Fort with Dhruva and can thoroughly recommend both. Dhruva combined historical sites with carefully chosen local foods. He also went into detail with my question. I'd have done a further tour if I'd had time. Highly recommended.
It was such an enjoyable, interactive tour through the historical sites, lively streets and into majestic and sometimes hidden temples I would have probably missed on my own. The guide, Dhruv, was very kind and informative, shared lots of interesting details, and I came back learning a lot not just about Pune, but the history of Maharashtra. I especially appreciate his willingness to help me find stuff at the market, even if it took us more time than planned.
