We decided to use Soul of Lanka for our visit to Sri Lanka following a recommendation from our daughter who used them for her tour 7 years ago Alex who is the owner of Soul of Lanka developed a wonderful 11 days/10 nights bespoke tour visiting the key areas of interest. We stayed in a mix of 3 star hotels and home stays which we were very happy with. Alex was with us for the entire tour along with his lovely driver Jasinth. Alex is very knowledgeable, is extremely passionate and loves what he does. If you are looking for a great value bespoke tour of Sri Lanka then you will be in very safe hands with Alex.

Andrew picked us up in Kandy at 6.30 and drove us to the Knuckles Range, before entering , we had a cup of tea and some breakfast, and met the guide who was going to take us for the hike. After a short stop for the lunchboxes (which were delicious!) We were ready to enter the mountain trails. Our guide was very aware of our needs, whether it was waterbreaks, walking tempo or photoshooting. He was also very curious to ask about us and our homecountry aswell as telling a lot about the forests we were walking in!:) He had a good eye for spotting wildlife, and wild fauna: The sound of a monkey min. 200m away made him stop and spot it in a tree! We walked the intermediate route, which took us to two lovely waterfalls (one in which you can have a dip), as well as different types of forests. The trail was nice, also a little difficult, with narrow passes and wild fauna trying to overtake the path - but that only added to the charm. The Knuckles Range is profoundly beautiful and still offers true wilderness forest. We would definitely recommend going, and even more so with Andrew and the team of Soul of Lanka Tours!

We were lucky enough to be able to stay at Alex and his wonderful wife's homestay during our 3 week Sri Lanka tour and so we became aware of Soul of Lanka Tours. We decided to take a day trip to the falls in the Knuckles Mountains. Alex is a very competent and experienced guide , fluent in English and able to respond to the needs of his guests excellently. You could choose from 3 different hikes (depending on the fitness level of the participants) which were guided by a local , English-speaking guide (received us at the starting point of the hike). In addition to arriving in a modern and air-conditioned mini van (we were a group of 4 / 2 couples), there were packed lunches for breakfast and lunch, enough drinks and additional hiking knee warmers to ensure sufficient protection from the leeches. We chose the Intermediate Tour (about 12-14km , 500-600 meters in altitude) and were rewarded with fantastic views of the numerous tea plantations , well-accessible hiking trails (sturdy sneakers are recommended, no slippers!) and 2 great waterfalls (at the second waterfall there is the possibility to swim). The local guide also pays attention to the needs of the group, but also schedules productively enough breaks. Overall a fantastic day that left nothing to be desired. The provider and the tour are fully recommended!

The trip was overall amazing! Very good organized and friendly guide with okay english. Bus driver was very helpful and Alex did an amazing Job in organizing the whole trip. Would definitely go again!
