It is one a kind experience where you will cook and eat at somebody’s house and experience as they live. It is charming, authentic and real. So be prepared to experience how local Moroccans live.

This was a wonderful cooking class that finished with a delicious home cooked meal. It was also an authentic cultural experience. Yassir provided information and answers to our questions in good English and translated for his mother as she led us through the making of a tangine and kefta dish. It was a privilege to be invited into their home and to eat at their table.

This is a truly authentic cooking experience with a kind family.. The family welcomes you into their home as guests and you feel what’s it’s like to be a Moroccan in this city.

This experience was wonderful. Yassir spoke amazing English and was very happy to answer any questions we had about the culture, country and Chefchaouen. It was a pleasure to meet his family and be welcomed into their home. We learnt how to cook the most delicious tangine which was tastier than anything else we’ve eaten in Morocco so far. We had a wonderful evening with Yassir and his family. We made mint tea and then a tagine. Everything was delicious, and we got to chat with Yassir, who speaks French very well. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about Moroccan culture and how to cook a delicious tagine. I highly recommend it!

Yassir and his beautiful mom taught us how to prepare Tagine and it was worth it. People from Chefchaouen are the gem of Morocco! It was an extremely nice experience which I would love to find more often around the world. Do not hesitate booking this activity. Bear in mind that you will need to pay between 60 or 90 dirhams extra for the ingredients but that is fine and Yassir tells you in advance. Thanks a lot!

We went shopping with Yassir to buy the ingredients for the chicken tagine (for two this about 90 dirham). Nice experience to have in local shops. Then we went to his family home, met his mum and had tea while she did most of the preparations. We peeled a few carrots but she talked us through the spices (Yassir translated) and how to assemble the tagine. Then more tea and a chat with Yassir until dinner was ready. It was nice to spend time with a family. A different experience that I would recommend.

It was an amazing experience, i met Yassir at the grocery store where we bought fresh vegetables and chicken, for our chicken tajine, and went back to his family house, where i met his mom, and his sister, it was a pleasant night and a good way to explore the marocain culture and day to day life! Yassir and his mom were amazing we talked a lot, and learned how to do the tajine. I really recommend this experience if you want to have a pleasant night!!☺️

We really enjoyed this experience as a family…it was a wonderful way to learn more about Moroccan culture! Also my children said it was the best tangine they had in Morocco after eating tangine several times in restaurants. The family was so kind and friendly, including their fun daughter who taught my daughter several Moroccan music videos, lol. The mother only speaks Arabic but Yassir her son translated well. This got a bit awkward though when he left partway through to lead another tour. Overall, very fun!

This was a very worthwhile experience. You are invited into the home of a Moroccan family. Not only do you get to cook and eat the most delicious tajine, you get to meet their lovely family and get a glimpse into how day-to-day cooking is done in a prviate kitchen. Yassir was upfront about the fact that we have to pay for the groceries oursevles. TBH I found the fact that we picked out and paid for the things we needed served to enhance the authenticity of the whole experience. I would highly recommend this activity.
