1471年にベルガモ出身の建築家アントニオ・ガンベッロによって建てられましたが、建設は技師ブランカレオーネによって完成されました。 この要塞は、1473年にマフムト・パシャが去った後、ヴェネツィア人によって建設され、大砲が備え付けられました。1502年、ヴェネツィア人は南西側の要塞を独立した城壁に変え、鎖を取り付けた人工の岩山を建てました。その後、鎖は敵船が港に入るのを防ぐために街につながれました。

This trip went from Athens with a stop in Ancient Corinth and then to Nafplio. The driver was safe and punctual, and a good communicator. Car was comfortable and the trip was smooth. Would recommend !

Private tour with a wonderful guide/driver, Fotis. It was nice to leave the crowds of Athens for a day to see 2 more accropoli. To see the mountains with snow covered peaks and then to see people in the ocean swimming in the same day is amazing. Nafplio was beautiful and quiet coastal town.

Beautiful sites outside of Athens. The canal is amazing and you can get up close without crowds to the wonderful sites in Nafplio. We were the only people on the tour in the clean and new vehicle. Fotis was able to answer all questions. He was great.
