シンガポール本土のラブラドール公園とは、半キロ足らずの海域で隔てられているのが、シロソポイント。 この近さは、イギリスが建設した砦と両地点の砲台を結ぶ海底トンネルという都市伝説に火をつけた。 幾度となく発掘や修復が行われたにもかかわらず、トンネルは見つかっておらず、地図や文書にも現れていない。 ブラカン・マティ島の地名や自然名は、地域社会、経済・社会史、島の動植物を反映している。 シローソ砦が建つ場所の近くには、今日、マレー語で虎の巣窟サラン・リマウとして知られる地域があり、オラン・ラウトがこの地域に関する知識を反映するために使用していた。
セントーサ開発公社、SDCが1970年代から1980年代にかけて作った、泳ぐラグーンのある3つのビーチの1つであるシロソビーチには、豊かな歴史があります。 その名前はマレー語で「岩」を意味する言葉に由来し、当初は戦略的防衛地点であった。 1970年代には活気ある観光地へと変貌した。 今日、シロソビーチはビーチバレー、ウォータースポーツ、賑やかなナイトライフで有名であり、活気は衰えることなく、パーティーは絶え間なく行われています。
パラワンビーチは、マレー語で戦士や英雄を意味する「パラワン」にちなんで名付けられました。 植民地時代には、頻発するサメや海水ワニの目撃から海水浴客を守るために、イギリス兵がパラワンビーチに頻繁に訪れていた。 イギリス人はマレー語で「スイミング・パガー」として知られるサメの柵を建てた。 幸いなことに、セントーサ周辺ではこれらの捕食動物は見られなくなり、現在の海水浴客にとって安全で楽しいスポットとなっています。
2003年、セントーサ・コーブは117ヘクタールのゲート付き飛び地として、オーシャンフロントのヴィラ、邸宅、マンションなど2600戸の住宅が建ち並ぶようになった。 117ヘクタールのうち、100ヘクタールが開墾地となっている。 この地域には、コーラル島、パラダイス島、トレジャー島、サンディ島、パール島の5つの人工島が含まれ、ほとんどがバンガロー専用である。 北部と南部の境内には住宅地が密集している。 2015年6月時点でセントーサ・コーブには、主にコンドミニアム、テラスハウス、バンガローなど、2160戸の住宅に5000人以上の住民が居住している。
かつてマレー語で鹿とヤシの島を意味するPurau Sakijang Pelepahとして知られていたラザルス島には、19世紀後半に刑務所の監禁小屋があった。 これらは、囚人の大胆な脱走の後に放棄された。 今日、この島はシンガポールで最も手入れの行き届いた秘密の一つとして知られるハの字型のラグーンにある清潔で白い砂浜を訪れる人々を魅了しています。 ラザロ島は、プライベートヨットやボートが停泊できる南の島では数少ないスポットで、手付かずのビーチと手付かずの美しさを楽しむことができます。

Had a wonderful experience at Royal Albatross! The food was absolutely amazing, and every dish was delicious and well presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The view was simply breathtaking, making it a perfect place to relax, enjoy a good meal, and take in the beautiful surroundings. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a place I would recommend to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and an amazing view!
