I like food and I like history, this tour hit it both. It's nice to have a bilingual national tour guide to bring you around, show things to you, explains things to you, and you can ask questions. We went to different restaurants, stores, markets, streets, and a church and I got to try different authentic food I wouldn't have knew to try on my while learning about both San Salvador and El Salvador history and culture. I'm here only for a few days and I want to make the most of the time and this tour was exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend for people you want an authentic experience.

Very fun, informative, and delicious tour! Highly recommended - Dave knows his tough. We did the tour mostly in Spanish but his English is EXCELLENT, as is his knowledge and passion for Salvadoran culture, history, and cuisine. Highly recommended.

A very nice and knowledgeable guide. Perhaps too much discussion on all the things the government is doing to improve the country (felt a bit like an ad)

This might be my new favorite food tour. You'll have the opportunity to try all kinds of fruits, savory meals, and sweets. Dave led me to awesome markets that I would have missed otherwise.

Lots of walking and eating! The history lesson from the guide was informative! He was very well aware of his Countries history and explained it very well to me! The food was so good and very inexpensive!

Bring hat, comfortable shoes, hydration, small bills. This tour was informative, we ate tipical local dishes from El Salvador. Try their juicy rotisserie chicken from Pollo Bonanza, munch on some pasteles or empanadas. We had some bourbones coffee which was “de primera”, the Boston ice cream was flavored with mamey or mora fruit. Last, you cannot visit El Salvador without eating a pupusa, they’re available everywhere!

My wife and I very much enjoyed the walking tour with Dave in San Salvador. He has a great personality and he is so knowledgable and passionate about Salvadoran food, culture, and history. Dave is friendly and funny, and his enthusiasm is infectious. We have been on tours in more than 20 countries and Dave is the best guide we have had. I highly recommend any experience with him.
