An enthusiastic and knowledgeable host. We learnt a lot about olive oil! It was an enjoyable and interesting experience. We felt it was poor value for money given that the laptop presentation was nothing that one couldn't easily find on Youtube/social media. My suggestion, fwiw would be to include a small bottle of olive oil and/or food of some sort in order for potential customers to feel they can justify the cost. .
Wow, what a brilliant experience. Harry, the host is very passionate and knowledgeable about olive oil and it really shows during the time you spend with him. I had never really thought of just tasting olive oil in isolation, the complexities of it are extraordinary. We were taken on a journey of tasting 4 extra virgin olive oils from different regions of Greece, tasting them on their own to compare how smooth or sweet or bitter they could be and then paired them with different foods. We learned a great deal, got to ask questions and would highly recommend this experience. You are able to buy the oil at the end, but there is absolutely no pressure to do so. Thank you again Harry for such a unique insight into the world of olive oil.
The experience takes place on a private terrace above the Thea Thalassa restaurant (which I also highly recommend). I was given a warm welcome by the hosts Harry and his fiancé. The area was set up beautifully and we started off with an interesting and information presentation. That was easy to understand for a novice like me. I learnt so much about harvesting the olive fruits and the full process. We then moved on to the tasting experience. Having learnt so much already it was great to then get a sense of the differing and exciting flavours of each of the olive oils. I was blown away by the smells and tastes I was experiencing. Then pairing them with different foods was so good. Harry's passion and enthusiasm was what made this experience truly enjoyable. He clearly loves what he does. At the end I was able to purchase the oils I tried and I'm happy to say they survived the journey home in my suitcase. I can't wait to start using them in my meals. I highly recommend going and enjoying this delightful experience, you will not regret it!

Written by my partner: ''I got his tasting course as a present during our holiday in Halkidiki. For me, as a culinairy-food-hobby-enthousiast this was a perfect gift. On the private terras of the Thea Thalassa restaurant with sea-view, we met our host Harry. The table was set up nicely with a whole array of (extra vergin) olive oils for us to smell and taste. After a interesting theoretical part, we were already able to get a sense of flavour profiles in the different olive oils. This was all because of the passionate and enthousiastic way Harry was informing us. Afterwards a delicious meal was served to us, accompanied by a tasty wine. For me an experience I will not forget especially in the romantic setting it was in. Keep it going Harry, your enthousiasm is inspiring!''
