Fantastic guide! Our walking food tour with Alexandra ended up being one of the best food tours we have done and we have done many on different continents. Alexandra is extremely knowledgeable in the local history, food and backgrounds of the shops and restaurants we visited! Her history lessons were interesting and were delivered with flair that kept your attention. Clearly a guide that loves her job and loves the local customs and history. The food was all amazing and the picnic at the end was well done where she picked up local ingredients along the way. It ended up being just the three of us family members so we had the best, personal tour imaginable. This tour is highly recommended and we would do it again. Make sure to get Alexandra, you will not be disappointed!

We booked a private tour with Alexandra as a couple. We had a fantastic walking food tour with her. She took us to various family run shops Butcher, Bakery, Cheese, Honey, Wine and more. Along the way, we learned of the history of Bordeaux and it's food. Alexandra speaks perfect English, she is very friendly and is very knowledgeable. We have since been back to some of the shops. If you are a foodie, this tour is perfect for you! And even if you are not a foodie, you will also enjoy the tour.

Our guide Alexandra was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun. We went to several local shops where she introduced us to the owners and explained their business experience. We had samples from many of the vendors and we picked up products to take to our tasting. The tasting was great and the presentation was informative. We really enjoyed this experience.

Wow!!! First off, let me start by saying that we did this food tour during a heat wave in France…and we would do it again in a heart beat! Alex and the entire food tour was absolutely amazing! We ate some delicious foods and sweets. Seriously, you learn so much that we are now obsessed with French food and wine! Alex was incredibly knowledgeable and so sweet, we were sad we didn’t have enough time to try her pastry class. If you are in Bordeaux, BOOK THIS TOUR! You will not regret it!!!

Alexandria was so knowledgeable and infused humor with history. Her selections of cheeses and meats were excellent along with the wine pairing.

Overall was exceptional! Alexandra our guide was awesome, very informative from start to finish, Kim and I learned a ton! Was an awesome day!

We had an amazing time on this food tour! Alex was a great guide! She shared her knowledge and love for Bordeaux food and culture and the stops we had were awesome, we felt like insiders! We even went back to the shops to do some shopping! Such great food outside of the Google recommendations! We highly recommend taking the foodie tour with Alexandra!!!

A pleasant and interesting afternoon in Bordeaux with the excellent host Alexandra, who took us to some amazing food shops and a really nice wine merchants to eat all the food we collected on the way. The tour combined some historical and current facts about the city with some really good food and wine. There was only the 2 of us on that particular tour so we had a bespoke guided trip. Alexandra conducted our tour in English and it was great to get the benefit of her extensive knowledge. - We learned a lot about French food, drink, history and customs and met some really interesting hosts. Stories were informative and humourous. There were plenty of nibbles during the morning and the tour finished up in an atmospheric wine cellar to the rear of an upmarket wine shop. The charcuterie, cheese and wine was served up on the "big table" and we had a ball for more than an hour. Alexandra gave us some restaurant/bistro recommendations to finish up. Worth every penny and we will do it again if we get the chance. Gerry & Maeve.
