Wonderful experience

A wonderful experience! Our guide was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The campfire dinner was delicious and it was great to see some of the Finnish landscape. We also saw some moose.

Wonderful experience

The Tour was great! Peter and Jack told us so many interesting things about finnish wildlife and nature. We went in the forest, picked wild blue berries and had traditional finnish campfire food. Later we went go several spots known for wildlife activity. We saw several moose, male, female and calf. We were instructed on how to behave and how to not disturb or scare the animals. Everything was very respectful! I had a Great time!

We spent an amazing evening watching moose and even had the pleasure of seeing a lynx! Our guide, Toni, was fantastic, he happily answered all of our questions. It was a truly unforgettable experience.

Great experience

It was a great tour. We were able to observe many white-tailed deer. And then suddenly there it stood - a beautiful moose. About 10 meters away from the car. A great experience. We were then able to admire several more moose. A really great tour with a very nice tour guide.

A great moose experience

That was a really great experience. We traveled in a very small group (besides us, one other couple). The guide, Patricia, spoke excellent English, was friendly, communicative, but not intrusive, and consistently pleasant. After about an hour's drive, we made preparations for dinner. Always informed about local customs, we received an introduction to sawing and chopping wood, and while Patricia prepared local dishes (pie, pirakka, sausages, grilled cheese with cloudberry jam) for us over an open fire, we were able to explore the surroundings a little. After dinner, as it was slowly and, in keeping with the season, hesitantly getting dark, we went on the actual moose safari. Patricia drove along back roads to selected spots, and besides countless deer, stags, and hares, we also caught sight of a total of 6 moose. Here and there we got out, walked a few meters, and armed with thermal binoculars and a telephoto lens, we were able to observe the animals we discovered more closely or find more animals. The tour ultimately lasted even longer than announced and was not boring for a second. Absolute recommendation

Fun trip to the country side!

Patricia was very passionate about the wildlife in the area and knowledgeable about where to best see them, She showed us wild berries in season which we sampled. Provides wonderful campfire meal which featured a number of Local Finnish items. We saw lots of deer 3 moose far in the distance.

Lovely time in the Finnish woods

We had an absolutely lovely time! Our guide Toni was super friendly and funny and pretty knowledgeable about the wildlife, Finnish history and Finland in general. He also taught us how to saw and chop some fire wood which was a lot of fun. The campfire dinner was delicious and featured some traditional Finnish food which was super nice. Our group consisted of seven people (including Toni) which was just the perfect size. We ended up seeing four moose (including one mother with two calves which is apparently very rare). Toni really made sure we’d find some and let us use lots of equipment (e.g. a heat camera, which was very cool). He gave us enough time to look at the moose instead of leaving at a certain time sharp. The atmosphere was lovely too, we drove out to some spots with absolutely gorgeous views and nature and had enough time there to take pictures. Overall it was an amazing experience and I would recommend it to everyone, nature lovers and newbies alike :)

Great way to experience a little taste of nature while in Finland

This was one of the best experiences we had in a month of travelling in Europe. It was fantastic to see a little of the Finnish forests with the late late summer sunsets. Peter was a terrific guide, giving us lots of info on Finnish people’s and culture and happily answering all our questions. He has a great sense of humour that matched our Australian sarcasm. The campfire dinner was tasty and very efficient even with the characteristic Finnish drizzle at times. He was very enthusiastic in finding us Moose afterwards. In the end we had great sightings of 8 Moose, some Deer and a huge Hare. We were never rushed and enjoyed the time viewing the Moose. It was a late night but soo much fun. The best part thought was just experiencing the peace of the Finnish forests. It makes us want to come back and spend a lot more time in Finland but away from Helsinki. Thank you.

Great overall experience!

Highly recommend this tour! Our guide, Toni, was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of Finland’s history, ecosystem, and wildlife, which he shared with us over a lovely campfire dinner. We were thrilled to see multiple moose in their natural habitat, including a mama with her twins at dusk! 10/10!
