I don't even know where to start with this. We booked Beck for a tour of Fushimi Anari, Bamboo Forest and Arashiyama. This was all in Kyoto and the sights were amazing in themselves. Two days in Kyoto and Osaka was not enough for starters. We met with Beck and we wasn't a lame tour guide that just told you the history. I'm going to bullet point the experience because it was so amazing. 1. Beck knew his stuff. It was my fiancee and I that went on the tour. I'm big into the history and culture of Japan, she is big into pictures and modeling for them. I can only remember one time that a tour guide didn't lose my fiancee in the first hour. Beck kept both of us engaged through the whole tour. I think he just really read the room right and could tell I wanted to know the history, while she was interested in the girly stuff. 2. Beck knew the best spots for pictures, and how to take them. I cannot begin to tell you about how great this part of it was. My fiancee will make me take a the same photo 200 times until it is right. Beck got the perfect photos every time, in the perfect spots. So while I was learning about the reason ninjas used the roofs to sneak up on people, she was getting the best photos of us that came from Beck. 3. We weren't rushed, or made to feel like we were just another tour. Beck was extremely personable and down to Earth. He was interested in our everyday lives, as well as willing to share some of his own. We learned that everyday Beck takes his two year old daughter down to the local stream. He pushes her on the swing with the Tori gates behind them. He tells her a story about growing up in Japan and encourages her to be anything she wants. I just made that up, but I had no clue what a Tori gate was before this tour. Also, that sounds like something that Beck would do as he is rich in Japanese Culture. 4. This tour taught me the little things too. It was pretty deep, and we even learned about the different reasons the statues and why the foxes had certain items in their mouths. Or, why the dogs had a closed and open mouth (ah - in, or the first and last letters of the Japanese alphabet. The beginning and the end). 5. We learned more than what is on the tour too. If you manage to figure out the train system in your first couple of days there, you are ahead of the game. They have the IC card, the Suica card, the credit card. One doesn't work with the other, and you have to get off one line for another, etc. We, also, learned all about this system, and the different tricks to Japan. We really wish we had more time because we wanted to book the nighttime tour with him, as well. We didn't get a chance to see Gion in our two days there. We didn't the first day being assaulted by deer taking our dignity from us in Nara. We can't wait to get back to Japan and book this nighttime trip. This was such an amazing experience and I can't thank Beck enough for letting us share it with him.

Our guide Beck was great, he gave thorough explanations of every site and even gave us recommendations for other things so see while in kyoto. Highly recommend!

The tour guide, Masaki Tada, was awesome! He had deep knowledge about each venue and tailored his presentation to our preferences. The early morning hours helped us to beat the heavy tourist traffic and enjoy the venues in the best light of day. Highly recommend this tour.

Absolutely loved this tour! Beck was an amazing guide—knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely made the experience fun. The early start was completely worth it because we got to experience Fushimi Inari and Arashiyama before the crowds really picked up, making everything feel so much more peaceful and enjoyable. Beck shared so much interesting history and context along the way without making it feel like a lecture. He also knows exactly where to take you for the best pictures and is an excellent photographer! 📸 He made sure we got the perfect angles and spots, and I never had to worry about missing those memorable shots. If you’re visiting Kyoto and considering this tour, BOOK IT! Beck made the experience even better, and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kyoto. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
