Impressive highlights, loved the stories Victor (the tour guide) shared. Beyond beautiful highlights I was touched by the stories I look forward to sharing with friends back in Germany. The Slănic Prahova salt mine is a breathtaking surreal salt mine, 54 meters high, a magical underground world with shops and restaurants and magnificent salt statues. It helped that we brought warm clothes, as it gets chilly inside. The Brebu fortified monastery was like time travel to medieval times. Our guide, Victor, told us it's story and it still looks worthy of housing a royal court. The tour ended with a visit to the Iulia Hasdeu Castle. It is a beautiful place with heart warming stories of a father reaching out beyond the limits of this world out of love for his lost daughter.
