As with many activities booked through an intermediary platform, it is indeed possible to find a lower price by booking certain services directly with local operators. However, this would not include the same booking service and transportation arrangements included in our package. We are pleased to hear that you found the Catamaran excursion itself to be satisfactory, although we fully understand that this does not change the fact that it was different from the experience you originally selected. Regarding the swimming location and the number of boats and swimmers, we would like to provide some context. August is the very peak of the summer season on the French Riviera, and it is unfortunately not the easiest period to enjoy the coastline away from the crowds. The most beautiful and secluded coves are particularly busy during this time, and maritime regulations, safety requirements and sea conditions also limit the possibility of anchoring wherever we would like. Our captain must therefore select an appropriate and safe location according to the conditions on the day. For guests looking to experience the Côte d’Azur in a quieter and more secluded atmosphere, the months of May, June, September and October are generally much more suitable, with fewer boats and swimmers and a greater possibility of discovering more peaceful areas of the coastline. We also appreciate your comments regarding the information provided by the captain and crew. We will certainly take your feedback into consideration, as we always want our guests to feel that they are not only enjoying the coastline from the water, but also learning more about the beautiful places they are discovering. Dear Guest, We are sorry to read your review, but we must correct one important point: **the reason for the cancellation was clearly communicated to you at the time.** Your excursion was cancelled due to an **official weather alert and adverse weather conditions**. As explained in our cancellation message, for safety reasons we cannot operate an excursion when weather conditions may put our guests or our drivers at risk. We therefore cannot agree with the statement that the trip was cancelled “without reason or explanation.” The reason was clearly provided to you when the cancellation was made. Regarding an alternative date, unfortunately weather-related cancellations do not always allow us to offer another departure, particularly depending on availability and the remaining duration of a guest’s stay. We fully understand that a cancellation is disappointing, especially during a holiday. Gerne möchten wir jedoch einen Punkt erläutern: Bei diesem Ausflug handelt es sich bewusst um einen Katamaran-Ausflug mit Segeln, Entspannung und Badestopp und nicht um eine geführte Besichtigungstour entlang der Küste. Das Erlebnis besteht gerade darin, einige Stunden auf dem Mittelmeer zu verbringen, die Landschaft vom Meer aus zu genießen, an einer Bucht zu ankern und Zeit zum Schwimmen und Entspannen zu haben. Eine touristische Kommentierung der vorbeiziehenden Orte ist daher nicht Bestandteil dieses Ausflugs. Auch der Badestopp wird in erster Linie aufgrund der geeigneten Bedingungen zum Ankern und Baden ausgewählt. Ziel ist nicht der Besuch einer touristischen Sehenswürdigkeit an Land, sondern ein angenehmer Moment auf dem Wasser und im Meer. Bezüglich der Gruppengröße verstehen wir, dass das persönliche Empfinden unterschiedlich sein kann. Mit 25 Gästen befand sich die Teilnehmerzahl jedoch innerhalb der für diesen Katamaran vorgesehenen Kapazität und der Ausflug wird bewusst als gemeinschaftliches Erlebnis angeboten. Für Gäste, die eine exklusivere Atmosphäre mit sehr wenigen Teilnehmern wünschen, wäre eine private Bootstour sicherlich die passendere Alternative. Wir bedauern daher, dass Ihre persönlichen Erwartungen an den Ablauf etwas anders waren, freuen uns aber gleichzeitig, dass Sie den Katamaran, die Qualität an Bord und insbesondere unsere Crew positiv in Erinnerung behalten haben. In addition, the photos of the catamaran shown in the listing accurately reflect the actual boat and its usual level of occupancy. The boat operates within its authorized capacity and in full compliance with safety regulations. As with most shared cruises, guests are free to move around the catamaran during the trip to enjoy different views. As for the presence of children, this excursion is open to everyone and is not advertised as an adults-only experience. Families with children are therefore welcome on board, especially during the summer season.
