What an amazing experience this was! The tour was extremely organized and an absolute blast. The kayaks were in great shape and they gave us all the equipment we needed to do the tour. The hike was not too challenging and it was nice that it had a boardwalk to avoid some of the tough terrain. What made the tour above and beyond was our guide, Cayman. He was awesome. He made us all feel safe and perfectly navigated us through the tour. His enthusiasm and positivity shined throughout and took the experience to the next level.

Awesome mixed activity.
Beautiful scenery and knowledgeable guide. Learned a lot about flora and fauna in that particular Hawaiian ecosystem. I would rate it at an upper level moderate activity. Hike was strenuous with muddy/slippery trail sections and rocky river crossings. The kayaking was excellent as the guide taught us to navigate close to shore to cut down on windy conditions. Secret falls were a great reward!

The Secret Falls was Awesome!
It was a great experience. One of many highlights of our vacation. Our guide was Sam. He was funny and informative. If you’re healthy and active you can do it with no problems. The secret (not so secret) falls at the end was SOOO worth seeing! It is truly magical! We really loved this experience.

Very strenuous
This experience was much more strenuous than advertised. We had to walk/wade through 12-18 inches or so of rushing stream water, stepping on hidden, slippery rocks, making it very hard to keep my balance. The very strong guide held onto those who needed help, guiding us individually to the opposite shore. I would have fallen a few times without him.
Unfortunately, when we reached a destination, he spent too much time with a small group of people, leaving the rest of us feeling left out. While there were some nice rapids snd waterfalls on this trip, none of the 3 people in my group would recommend it for average people over age 60 or do.

Kaua'i Adventure
I felt like we experienced the real Kaua'i. It was more than an excursion, it was an adventure. I had never Kayaked before, but found the 2 mile up and 2 mike back not difficult but I'm in solid shape at 65. I've seen some cranky reviews about the hike but we thought it was fun and well worth it when you reached the waterfall. Very cool.
The key to making the excursion an adventure was our guide Helm!!! He set everyone up for success along the way. He had a lot of cool/interesting facts to share along the trip. When we got back he gave us recommendations for things to do, places to experience and restaurants to try to enhance our vacations. He didn't miss on any. Especially suggestion about the Kimchi Guy booth at the Lihue famers market on Saturdays where he serves burgers. (Best burger I've had in years)
