Having never skied before in my life (I am now 40 years old), I was nervous to try it. The Guide, Celil, and the Instructor, Emir, were both very helpful and reassuring. The Erciyes resort was bustling and clearly well maintained. On arrival we were taken to our meeting point/base for the day and given our food vouchers. We were then put into gear and given a short lesson in how to ski. After that, time was our own to do with as we pleased until 4pm. Not included in the cost was the price of the magic carpet to take you up to the 'bunny run'/ practice slope (which was actually being used by everyone from beginners up to experienced skiers), but this was expected and the cost is minimal (200TL for 5 trips up (a little over £3) or 400TL for 10 (about £6)). I opted for 5 trips, which was more than sufficient to give me the opportunity to have a go on the practice slope. In all, I had an amazing day. Only cons to the trip: The meeting point/base for the day wasn't the cleanest, but I didn't expect the ritz as there were people coming and going covered in snow - so it was to be expected. The equipment available needed some TLC - pants and jackets weren't very clean and had tears and the poles were bent. Not a major issue, but did take some of the gloss off the trip. We understand that snow is slippery - but my friend who I did the trip with fell outside the meeting point/base and hit his head and nobody helped him (which was unusual to us as Turkish people are normally very good at helping when someone is hurt). When he reported this to someone this wasn't flagged to anyone and there was no checking to make sure he hadn't injured himself. This was a serious concern to me and I was very annoyed that nothing was done.

Joined Erciyes from Cappadocia. Our guide Mr. Celil and our driver Mr. Murat are very friendly and professional in their work. I had a good full day.

I loved my first experiment skiing, Celil our tour guide was super friendly, warm and kind. He made sure to check in with me, especially because I came alone. He was always available. He explained where the important spots were very clearly. My overall experience was amazing! Hakan our driver was also friendly and kind, and drove safely. I will be recommending to my friends back at home.

Our tour guide Celil is super accommodating, we were able to communicate easily in English, Ride is comfortable and we had more than enough time to enjoy Erciyes; cable car, sledding, snow play! 100% recommended!
