This was a great tour and we saw the Christ of the Abyss. Our tour guide was very informative about the whole area and our family enjoyed it!
Our boat trip was lovely. We did a private four hour charter. I think the boat was beautiful and the scenery was beautiful. I expected more from my guide such as history and facts about the local area, but it was basically a taxi…. My children who are 17 and 24 felt that it was very appropriate and enjoyed the silence but my husband and I feel like we paid a very steep price and wanted a little bit more interaction in history with the driver who was a local and likely had plenty to share, but chose not to..

Really good value compared to other boat tours I saw on TripAdvisor. We have kids so we didn’t want a 4 hour tour. The guide hits all the major spots and stops to explain on the way out to the underwater statue. Then you get time to snorkel which the guide maximizes by returning fast
Viator continuously sent daily reminders of our upcoming boat tour to Portofino and points beyond. The night before our booking, long after we'd gone to bed, the tour operator sent a message (in a language I couldn't read without a translator) saying something about 'bad weather would prevent the tour from happening'. There was no bad weather, it was beautiful, the sea was like glass and 3 other boats the size ours was supposed to be took off from the same departure point. As this was the first day on the ocean section of our vacation, we were very disappointed. I thought Viator had vetted the tour providers. We came all the way from the desert in Arizona to experience the ocean on the Italian Riviera only to find that planning ahead to ensure our experience was just what we were after was a rip-off. It's better to just show up at the destination and book it yourself. It would have been 3 times cheaper, too.
The tour was beautiful, all the staff were fabulous and super welcoming, the girl who takes care of the reservations was very helpful and kind in meeting our request
I took part in a boat tour organized by the team where Gaia works, and I must say that it was really one of the best moments of my summer! She was professional, sunny and always careful to make us feel comfortable. The tour was well organized, with spectacular stops, crystal clear waters and postcard views. I absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who wants to experience the sea in an authentic and relaxing way. And if you are lucky enough to have Gaia... you will be in great hands!
