I’m happy to get Dogukan as my guide for the beautiful sunset at Red valley! The view on the top is breathtaking, the way up is quite hard but satisfied my adventure, and even the way down is more difficult, because of the darkness and weak internet after sunset. Without Dogukan I definitely got lost. Having him to guide all the way up and down for this adventurous trekking is 100% set my mind at rest, so that I can fully enjoy the beautiful valley with no worry. Besides, Dogukan was also devoted to explain a famous church ưith many deep meanings, despite he was having a headache. Doğukan went above and beyond from the moment he picked us up. He is a licensed guide who clearly loves these valleys, and he knows every trail, every cave church, and every corner of Red and Rose Valley. He shared the history and the stories behind what we were seeing, and he was warm, funny, and easy to be around. He paced the hike perfectly, took us to quiet spots we would never have found on our own, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We felt like we were hiking with a friend, not on a tour. We had a fantastic tour with Dogukan! He is without doubt one of the most knowledgeable and passionate guides you will find in Cappadocia! The hike was stunning, getting close to the unique structures and scenery around Rose and Red Valleys. Dogukan was extremely considerate and thoughtful in arranging an extended hike for us (as well as another couple) - taking us into some of the secret churches and caves in the valley. He made sure we got to see and experience the caves and valleys without feeling rushed. The highlights, together with Dogukan's passionate story telling and guidance, was the sunset in the Red Valley and the visit to Cross Church. He showed his kindness by agreeing to allow a lost tourist to join us from Red Valley so they don't get stranded (with our permission). Highly recommend this tour; a fantastic way to get close to the structures in these stunning valleys and learning a lot about its history.

This Red Valley & Rose Valley hiking tour is absolutely the highlight of our trip in Cappadocia. Our guide Dogukan took us on quiet, off-the-beaten trails far away from crowded tourist paths. The whole hike felt like a wonderful little adventure. We passed stunning rock formations with striking red and rose-hued cliffs and fairy chimneys. We visited a little-known cave church with no frescoes inside. Dogukan vividly told us stories about the monks who once lived, prayed and led their secluded monastic life here. Dogukan knows this area inside out. He properly assessed the group’s fitness level and chose a suitable route for us. He picked amazing, quiet viewpoints for photos with no crowds. He is very sociable and thoughtful, arranging proper rest stops along the hike. We always felt safe and well cared for. The tour ended with a wonderful surprise: Dogukan prepared drinks for us and brought us to his secret sunset spot. We enjoyed our beverages while watching the breathtaking Cappadocian sunset away from crowds. This is way more than a casual walk. If you want to discover the real Cappadocia away from busy sightseeing spots with an adventurous spirit, this tour with Dogukan is highly recommended! I will definitely look for him again to explore more routes when I come back to Cappadocia.

The tour with Dogukan was absolutely wonderful. From the first moment we were with him we liked him a lot, he spoke English very well and was very kind. He knows every corner of the Red Valley and explained many things about the area to us. He took us to a summit where there was no one and we had spectacular views. He also took some photos of us :) On the way back, he showed us several churches that were wonderful. The next day we took another tour and it's a shame we didn't repeat with Dogukan. You can tell he is passionate about his work and that is felt and greatly appreciated. I definitely recommend him highly! If we ever return to Cappadocia, I hope we can see each other again!!

Dogukan was a phenomenal guide to show you a different version of Cappadocia. I did a mid-day hike with him as that was my preference, but he was kind enough to make it happen. This tour was truly exceptional, as he takes you through off the beaten paths of the red and rose valley, you realize what Cappadocia is hiding within its caves. He has such indepth knowledge about history, geology and theology. He also offered some great wine tasting and recommendations at the end. Truly one of the most memorable hikes for me!

If you want to immerse yourself in the beauty of Goreme, and access parts of the area that the more common tours miss, this is definately one for you. Dogukan is really knowlegeable and has a passion for the area and history and really brings the tour to life. You'll need walking shoes and be reasonably fit as you'll scramble into many caves as well as climbing to the viewpoint for sunset. 100% recommended and Dogukan even provided a glass of wine at the end!

After joining Doğukan’s full-day private tour, we also decided to take his hiking tour, and we were very happy that we did. We explored hidden monasteries and churches inside the valley, and the views were absolutely beautiful. The best part was enjoying wine together at sunset. The combination of the conversation, the wine, and the sunset made the experience truly special. Doğukan is not only a local guide from Cappadocia, but he also became a wonderful friend to us. Friendships like this are very precious. We hope to see you again very soon!
