Yes, it’s a 6-to-8-hour bus ride each way, but the coach was modern, clean, and equipped with air conditioning and an onboard toilet. Departing at midnight allowed us to sleep through the journey and arrive fresh in Cairo by morning.

The museum visit was brilliantly organized. Our Egyptologist guide brought the history to life, pointing out the most important pieces from the Old, Middle, and New Kingdoms. The sheer volume of gold, jewelry, and sarcophagi on display is overwhelming in the best way.

Our guide was super attentive, making sure everyone stayed together, keeping us hydrated, and sharing interesting stories about modern life in Egypt during the drive. Excellent hospitality!

Let’s be honest: the bus ride from Sharm to Cairo is quite long, but the coaches are modern, air-conditioned, and have reclining seats, which made it easy to sleep. For the price, it’s an absolute bargain to see Cairo!
