We loved experiencing Costa Brava and Girona with our private tour guide, Augusto. Augusto was very kind and made our experience a wonderful one! We especially appreciated how he called ahead and got us a table for lunch with the best view of Costa Brava.

A fantastic day with Augusto! From the moment we met Augusto, we knew we were in great hands. He was punctual, had a wonderful presence and a big smile, and you could immediately tell that he is a genuinely kind-hearted person. He is also a fantastic conversationalist. During the drive, he shared stories from his own experience living in Spain, but what we appreciated most was how genuinely interested he was in us. The conversation felt natural and personal throughout the day. In Girona, Augusto’s passion and commitment really came through. He has a great ability to explain things in an engaging and accessible way, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. One of my favorite moments was seeing his enthusiasm for the beautiful red bridge over the Onyar River — surprisingly built by Gustave Eiffel’s company! Then came Calella de Palafrugell, an absolutely charming seaside village with a phenomenal little beach. Augusto recommended a place where we had a delicious paella, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. What really stood out, though, was how attentive he was throughout the entire experience. He kept checking that we were enjoying ourselves, made sure we were comfortable — even getting the air conditioning just right — and was incredibly flexible. He truly went above and beyond. By the end of the tour, it didn’t feel like we had spent the day with a tour guide. It felt like we had spent the day with a friend who is passionate about Spain and genuinely wanted us to fall in love with it too. I would recommend Augusto to absolutely anyone. I booked a last-minute tour through GetYourGuide on a whim, not really knowing what to expect, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. Augusto graciously arranged a fun-filled day for our family. He arrived right on time to pick us up at our hotel and spent the day showing us the beauty of Catalonia. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Girona and even conducted a multilingual tour for our family—English for my parents and Spanish for my husband. Augusto is not your ordinary tour guide. By the end of the day, he truly feels like part of your group. He accommodated every request we had, made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time, took wonderful pictures of us throughout the day, and even carried my wheelchair so I could experience places I otherwise would not have been able to see. He truly went above and beyond for our family. My only regret is that we didn’t have more time in Barcelona because we would have loved to plan more day trips with him. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Augusto. This is an incredible way to experience Catalonia, and having a private guide makes all the difference. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Augusto was our guide and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable, took his time to share facts about the sites we saw and along the drive to and from the locations. He did well speaking in English and teaching us a little Spanish. Would recommend!

My partner and I were lucky enough to get Tony as our guide. We started our trip with a walk through Girona and Tony pointed out several spots where Game of Thrones filmed. He explained the history and architecture of the city while we made our way through the beautiful streets. We then drove to the picturesque town of Pals and had the opportunity to explore. After Pals we went to a gorgeous winery for a tasting. Wines were amazing. We finished the day in Calella de Palafrugell where Tony gave us a great restaurant suggestion. Would highly recommend!
