I was really lucky, not only had the rains stopped but we saw so many troops of monkeys including babies. Most people go to see the sloths but I have a thing for monkeys
We saw two toed sloths, a 3 toed sloths, an eyelash pit viper, a Boa, Iguanas, a caimán, a basilik and loads of capuchins and howler monkeys, I was in my element. I have been to Cahuita before but never seen so many monkeys, I was very happy
Shailo is really friendly and clearly knows his stuff, I'd definitely recommend him - without him I would only have spotted the monkeys on my own

Cahuita National Park
A visit to Cahuita National Park is an absolute must if you are visiting Puerto Viejo. And Shailo is THE guide to have for this excursion. He is a wealth of knowledge and is expert in spotting all types of wildlife, birds and reptiles. He is patient, kind and ensures that you will have a wonderful and unforgettable experience. Amazing wildlife tour in the Cahuita Costa Rica
Shailo (our tour guide) was very knowledgeable and super amazing at locating lots of sloths, iguanas, toucans, howler and white face capuchin monkeys, yellow eyelash viper, boa constrictor & wood viper.
Shailo is very passionate about wildlife. The tour was absolutely the best tour in Cahuita area. We wouldn’t have seen and enjoyed all the wildlife without Shailo guiding us through the experience. We ultimately recommend the Cahuita wildlife tour. 🥰

Incredible experience with Shailo! 🌿🦥
We loved the visit to Cahuita National Park, and a large part of it was thanks to Shailo. He is super approachable and attentive, and has a lovely energy. He kept us attentive and enjoying ourselves throughout the entire tour. He has an incredible knack for identifying any animal and telling us about them.
You can tell that he enjoys what he does and that he knows the park like the back of his hand. He made the visit much more special and made us not want to miss a single detail.
We have been very lucky to have him as a guide. Without a doubt, we recommend him and would repeat with him without thinking about it. 💚

Perfect guide
Shailo was the best guide I have ever had. He took an incredible amount of time for me and my tour and put so much effort into showing me as many animals as possible.
I learned so much about the animals and plants and even a little Spanish on the side.
Despite the rainy weather, the tour was truly a great experience!

A smart guide with a lot of humor
Shalio was a very spontaneous, sweet, and funny guide. He knew a lot about animals and how the rainforest functions. We saw a lot of animals including a sloth with a small baby up close. It is really worth taking a guide when you go to the national park. You see and experience much more beauty, and especially with Shailo.

Thanks Shailo for an amazing hike!
I had a wonderful time with Shailo! He was warm and knowledgeable, imparting lots of information about the wildlife, plants, and ecosystem. We saw loads of sloths, plus reptiles/insects/birds/howler monkeys. He kindly ran the tour even though I was just one person, which I really appreciated as sometimes it's hard to book things when travelling solo. He was very communicative via whatsapp for any questions. I enjoyed my tour so much that I booked another hike with him in Manzanillo wildlife refuge.

Amazing Wildlife Tour with Shailo 🐒🐍🌿
We had an amazing experience with our guide Shailo at Cahuita National Park! Thanks to his expertise, we spotted an eyelash viper, capuchin monkeys, a sloth, a raccoon, leafcutter ants, and many other rainforest animals. We also learned about medicinal trees and tasted nectar from a tropical flower. 🌺 To finish a perfect day, Jef enjoyed a swim in the Caribbean Sea. 🌊 Highly recommended!

Shailo was amazing!! I highly rec scheduling with him for any tour he offers. We wouldn’t have seen half as much of the wild life without his ability to spot it!! Super cool dude! 10/10!!
