中国漁網 (Cheena vala) は、インドの定置式揚網の一種です。漁業用に固定された陸上設備である漁網です。インドでは一般に「中国漁網」として知られていますが、このような網のより正式な名前は「海岸操作リフトネット」です。巨大な機械装置が、直径 20 メートル以上の水平ネットを支えます。それぞれの構造物は高さ少なくとも 10 メートルで、海の上に張られたネットを張ったカンチレバーと、もう一方の端で釣り合いおもりとしてロープに吊るされた大きな石で構成されています。各施設は最大 6 人の漁師からなるチームによって運営されます。このような網は中国南部とインドシナの沿岸全域で使用されていますが、インドでは主にコーチやコーラムなどのインドの都市で見られ、観光名所になっています。この漁法はインドでは珍しく、14 世紀にインドに上陸した中国人の探検家によって導入されたため、ほぼこの地域独自のものです。
フォート コチ ビーチは、南インド、ケーララ州コチ市のフォート コチにあるアラビア海沿いのビーチです。
オランダ人墓地は、フォート・コチの訪問先の一つです。ここは、何世紀も前に祖国を離れ、自らの帝国を広め、拡大するために古代に帝国の住民が住んでいたことで有名です。この墓地は 1724 年に奉献され、現在は南インド教会によって管理されており、この墓地にまつわる興味深い物語がいくつか残されています。
コーチのフォート・コチ（フォート・コーチン）にある聖フランシス教会は、もともと 1503 年に建てられ、インドにあるヨーロッパ最古の教会の 1 つであり、亜大陸におけるヨーロッパの植民地闘争の物言わぬ証人として歴史的に重要な意味を持っています。ポルトガルの探検家バスコ・ダ・ガマは、1524年に3度目のインド訪問中に高知で亡くなった。彼の遺体は当初この教会に埋葬されましたが、14年後に遺体はリスボンに移送されました。
フォート コチのサンタ クルス大聖堂大聖堂は、ケーララ州にある 8 つの大聖堂のうちの 1 つです。ケーララ州の歴史的建造物の 1 つとして数えられるこの教会は、インドで最も素晴らしく印象的な教会の 1 つであり、一年中観光客が訪れます。
インドのコーチンにあるドビー カーナ パブリック ランドリーは、コミュニティの中心部で洗濯物を洗浄する目的で 1700 年代初頭に設立されました。このランドリー施設では、衣類の洗濯は昔ながらの伝統的な方法、つまり手作業で行われます。ドビー・カーナでは、この手動による衣服のクリーニング方法は何世紀にもわたって変わっていません。その場所は、洗濯物にアイロンをかけるための建物セットを備えた洗濯小屋、コンクリートの洗面台と掃除中に布地を叩くためのスラブを含む「セル」のある小屋、そして物干し竿のフィールドです。各労働者は、編んだコイア繊維で作られた自分の物干しロープを設定することができます。ピンを使わずにストランドを開いて服をラインにセットします。ここではすべてが手作業で行われ、大変な作業です。オランダ統治時代の18世紀に軍服を洗うために設立されたのが始まりです。労働者の先祖はタミルナドゥ州に属しています。ホットアイロンプレスを喜んで試してくれるフレンドリーなコミュニティ。
マッタンチェリ宮殿は、インドのケーララ州、コーチのマッタンチェリにあるオランダ宮殿として広く知られているポルトガルの宮殿で、コーチのラジャスの肖像画や展示物を描いたケーララの壁画が特徴です。この宮殿はユネスコ世界遺産の「暫定リスト」に登録されました。
パラデシ シナゴーグは、南インドのケーララ州コチにある、イギリス連邦で活動している最古のシナゴーグです。 1568 年に建設されたこの寺院は、マラバル イェフダンまたはイェフダン マピラ族、またはコーチン王国のコーチン ユダヤ人コミュニティの 7 つのシナゴーグのうちの 1 つです。

有名なジャイナ教の礼拝所。毎日正午に行われるハトのショーと餌やりで知られる。
ゴシュリプラムとも呼ばれるコーチン ティルマラ デヴァスワムは、インド、ケーララ州のゴウダ サラスワート バラモン教の最大かつ最も重要な社会宗教施設です。この寺院は、ケーララ州における GSB の最も初期の入植地の 1 つであるコーチン地域のマッタンチェリーの町の中心部にあるチェルライにあります。この寺院は 16 世紀後半に設立されました。ケーララ州の GSB の歴史は、この寺院とそのベンカテシュワラの偶像の歴史と絡み合っています。

Shahir was great!! He showed me all of fort kochi. He even took wonderful photos. He knew so many cool spots.
Our guide took us to multiple brief stops of the main highlights of Fort Kochi. He is fluent in English and answered all of our questions. He also made a few stops based on what we wanted (cafe, tapestry hop, craft shop and pizza place). It was very personalized army my kids said it was one of the highlights of our time here in Kochi. Thank you, sir for making it a fun morning and getting us through a lot of the popular sites in the area.
This is the 2nd visit to Fort Kochi and 2nd time hiring Shibab Chibu as my driver/guide. His service is excellent. He met from the train, as It was late recommended a local place to get a bite to eat before taking us to our accommodation. The next day we we had a lovely blend on enjoying the Biennale Arts festival as well as the local sites. He had fantastic recommendations for food and was very knowledgeable about the local history. He made this part of the trip one of the most memorable and stress free chapters. I would highly recommend his services to anyone visiting Fort Kochi

Shihab was absolutely amazing and was very trustworthy. As a woman traveling alone I felt extremely safe. He was very knowledgeable and took me around to the best spots for sight seeing, best local food spots as well as shopping. He even treated me to the best samosa chat I had in Kochi. A group of us had a free day during our business trip and wanted to check out Fort Kochi so I looked for a Tuk-Tuk tour guide ahead of time instead of taking our chances when we arrived. We are so glad we did as Shahir, Shihab and their friend were amazing! Not only were they professional and polite, they were so much fun and shared so many stories and info about Fort Kochi. The tour was a great mix of historical sights and cultural moments with a few impromptu shopping moments in between. There is no way we would have had as good of a trip on our own, so do yourself a favor and book a tour with them!!

This was an excellent trip with our driver and guide Shihab (Chibu) all around Fort Kochi (which is a place, not an actual fort). He was very knowledgeable about local history and the different sites. The town has a rich history and many monuments, temples and churches. Shihab came across as easy going and very engaged in his job. He is a safe driver and navigated around the many motorbikes, auto rickshaws, cars and even a bus! I recommend this tour and guide.

We had a wonderful time in Fort Kochi with the most helpful and wholesome local guide and driver Shihab, and everyone calls him Chibu! He had honest price, plus was really helpful in our quest of finding gifts and souvenirs. He was genuine and funny. We will miss him </3 hope to see you soon Chibu!

I had an excellent tour of Fort Kochi with Shibu. He was so helpful and attentive from the moment I met him. He took me to all of the wonderful places to visit and also educated me on the history.
