Excellent tour with local, Anna. She explained the Golden Age of Amsterdam, and showed us examples of different types of Golden Age architecture, and lovely little Gable Stones, which we hadn’t noticed ourselves! She was happy to take photos for us, and shared her extensive knowledge of her local area. Thanks Anna for a great tour.
Our tour with Anna was fantastic! She was right on time to meet us and over the course of the 1.5 hour tour provided a thorough and entertaining overview of the Dutch Golden Age history and the architectural characteristics of the Amsterdam canal district. The tour was very conversational and it was a great orientation to the city and its people. Highly recommend!
I’ve travelled the world and have taken tours in many, many cities but my tour with Anna ranks as one of the best. She knows everything. She’s smart and an interesting story teller that brings the words to life. I feel much more knowledgeable about Amsterdam and its architecture than I did prior to her tour. We highly recommend Anna and Artsy Tours in Amsterdam! We did the architecture walking tour and learned so much about the history of this beautiful city and the unique construction and design of the houses, churches and warehouses of the central canal district. Anna is one of the best tour guides we’ve had. Clearly knowledgeable about Amsterdam’s history, architecture and social policies, and presented it all in an accessible and fun way. Anna pointed out features of the architecture that we may have overlooked if we randomly walked the streets, and she explained others that we had seen and wondered about.
