A wonderful way to kick off our time in Fez, the city of artisans! If you only have a few days in Fez, be sure to do this activity early so they have time to fire your pottery and deliver it to your riad. It took approximately 48 hours for delivery. Our hosts were friendly and explained some history of zellige mosaics. We viewed a potter at the wheel and then it was our turn. They provided water and tea/coffee and we made our own mosaic tile with lots of shapes and colors to choose from! We then painted small pottery pieces we got to choose. Lastly, we got to practice on the pottery wheel! Overall a great, fun experience in the city known for handicrafts!

Wonderful workshop! We received great insight into the work they do and really enjoyed making the mosaic, painting the pottery and our quick turn at the pottery wheel. If you can plan this at the beginning of your stay the painted pottery can be brought to your hotel or riad in 2-3 business days. Pick up service at communication were excellent.

Incredible experience. You will learn soo much about the handicrafts in Morocco, which we learned was best to do in Fez as it is the capital of handicrafts in Morocco! Abdu (apologies if I spelled his name wrong!) was an absolutely incredible guide and was so informative and helpful. The workshop itself is also incredible and getting the tour of the space was so cool to see before doing the work yourself! We got picked up at 10 and it was so nice to have a coffee while making our crafts, such a great start to our day. Highly highly highly recommend this class!

A wonderful experience for a hot afternoon in Fes. We were provided with an informative guide explaining the process of mosaic and pottery making. The experience itself was extremely peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend this workshop run by Ahmed and Abdou. Thank you so much!

You cannot truly appreciate the art and architecture of Morocco without witnessing the extraordinary labor of love that creates such beauty. I have been in Morocco over a week, but I have new eyes when I see a mosaic. To understand the process and participate by making my own mosaic has greatly increased my attention to the details and my admiration for Moroccan artists.

It was great; we loved it! Three workshops in one. First a ceramics workshop, then painting on ceramics, and finally pottery. We had a fantastic time; thank you again.

Starts with a brief tour of the pottery and mosaic workshops then pretty quickly gets into the arts and crafts portion. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we had so much fun getting to try everything out. This is a must-do if you’re in Fes

I gifted this experience to my mom during our stay in Fès, and we loved the cooperative. We were very well received by Ahmed and his colleagues, who introduced us to the different artisans and their fascinating work. The activity is very comprehensive: - Zellige: Creating a square of mosaic with pieces of all colors. - Painting on clay: Decoration of a room of our choice (note: plan the activity at the beginning of your stay as it takes 48 hours to cure your works!). - Turning: A very nice trial on the potter's wheel. The organization is perfect: the transportation service from the Riad is very convenient, and the communication via WhatsApp is smooth and responsive. Special mention for the very careful packaging that allowed us to bring our creations back by plane without any issues. An enriching, human, and authentic experience that I highly recommend. Thank you to the entire team for their kindness!

We booked this activity for 4 people (a couple with 2 teenagers). Someone picked us up at the scheduled time from the place we had previously indicated on the app. Upon arrival, we visited the site and observed craftsmen working, with explanations from Abdou and his brother 👍. Then we moved on to practice! We started by making mosaics (one each). Then, with different pigments, we colored pottery already decorated; and finally we rolled up our sleeves to try our hand at pottery! Not easy, but we benefited from good advice from a professional:) We left the workshop directly with our mosaics, and we went to collect, 2 days later at the post office of Marrakech, the pottery that we had colored because they required a second cooking (paying an extra because we were no longer in Fez, but if you stay in Fez, it is included).
