Tried the afternoon tea at Emirates Palace with my wife and it was a nice way to spend the afternoon. When you walk in, the place is breathtakingly beautiful and majestic. The tea set had an excellent variety of pastries and little sandwiches, everything tasted fresh.

The selection was generous, savoury bites first, then sweets, all nearby presented. Tea options were varied and properly explained. We found the portions more filling than expected. It's not budget activity, but you are paying for surroundings and service as much as food.

My daughter and I were treated like we owned the entire building by the staff. Bless their hearts, they give you enough cakes to feed and entire Sunday school class! The portions are simply enormous! It took me a long hike to locate the powder room; the palace is so large that you may need a map.

Went to The Emirates Place for Afternoon tea. The hotel is luxurious, so a lot to see and experience. The food was excellent, and the staff were great at explaining everything. Thought when I booked that 2 hrs was too long, when we arrived the service and experience took the full 2 hrs - so well timed.

The communication we received from our tour operator, timeliness and friendliness of our driver were all excellent! The atmosphere of the Emirate Palace Hotel and food was lovely, but the service was truly poor. We spent most of our afternoon tea service ignored by staff and were never served all the courses promised as part of the experience.

I, along with my wife and her parents went for AT at Emirates Palace today, 05 April. The servings were made with high quality ingredients, however there was not much in terms of quantity. I don't eat a huge amount, but I left knowing I would have another meal before the end of the day. The customer service was lacking. One server kept smacking bottels against plates and the lady pouring water basically just glugged the water out, with it splashing over the table (every time). It may sound petty but thats not the level of customer service i am used to in the UAE and certainly not at an establishment such as EP. Finally we wanted to walk along the patio out the back after we finished. We were not allowed as we were not guests of the hotel. Very strange. I doubt I will have afternoon tea there again.
