旧名はビクター・フェルスター。 この刑務所には、故ネルソン・マンデラが長い政治的投獄の最後の14ヶ月間住んでいた。 マンデカは「金箔の檻」と表現し、この刑務所での彼の時間は贅沢と監禁の両立であった。 マンデラは、ここで刑務所にいる間、独房を与えられませんでしたが、快適なヴィラで、数多くのベッドルーム、スイミングプール、パーソナルシェフ、息をのむようなドラケンシュタイン山脈の眺め これが最後の投獄となり、1990年2月に自由の身となる。 ネルソン・マンデラに敬意を表して、セックス・ホエール家の財団が自由への長い散歩の像を委嘱した

Fabulous day touring the wine region. Went at a leisurely pace and accommodated our winery requests. Paul our guide went above and beyond, was knowledgable on the area, friendly and had some great laughs together!

Samuel gave us an excellent day of exploring the Cape Town area and visiting several beautiful winery! He told us about some of the local history and culture, which was quite interesting. He selected three excellent and beautiful wineries to visit as well as a great cafe for lunch in Stellenbosch. I highly recommend booking your tour with Samuel!
