While Fareed is a nice guy (and I know he was just coming off an illness and not feeling 100%), this is not a tour at all and more a car service to Pattaya. He picked us up on time from the hotel but then had nothing to say for the nearly 2.5 hours of drive time. For a “tour” we would have expected a little background or history or something so it felt like an uber ride. When he stopped at the gas station to fill up on his phone data, he didn’t ask us if we needed to go to the restroom or get a snack (which I feel is just common courtesy if you are leading a tour) and thats kind of how it went the rest of the day. When we arrived at Pattaya we opted to take the ferry instead of the speedboat (opt for the speedboat) and arrived at the island. Once there it was almost like he looked at us to tell him what we should do instead of him outlining some suggestions, things to do and places to see. We decided to rent the motorbikes, which was lot of fun and a great way to get from beach to beach (though if doing so, remember you will need to pay for his as well). Fareed did guide us to the various beaches, again with little explanation, but to be honest the roads are so limited there is often only way around so we could have probably handled it ourselves. He showed us the monkeys at Monkey Beach which was cool but when I asked him questions half the time he had no answers and the other times he would be on his phone. He was constantly on his phone and would often answer it in the middle of me asking him questions which I found extremely rude. He is not a Thai national and has only been in the country for a few years but given that, I would think he would go out of his way to learn about the country and the area he was claiming to be a tour guide for. He didn’t speak the language, offered no suggestions on “must dos” nor when asked where a good place for lunch was and didn’t seem to have any connections for vendors on the island. After the first hour or so we realized we weren’t getting much out of Fareed so let him do his thing while we hung out at the beaches and in the water for several hours. Around 3pm we headed back and this time took the speedboat. Then again we drove in silence for several hours before getting to our hotel. Overall Koh Larn was incredibly beautiful and we would highly recommend visiting, as some of the beaches are the nicest we saw our whole trip. As for this “tour” maybe just book the option in which he drops you off at the pier.

Our driver Mr. Fam was great. Very friendly, patient and accommodating. He took good care of us. I accidentally gave him $100 instead of $20 and he came back all the way to the hotel to return it. He was a good, careful, safe and attentive driver. However, it was not actually a tour but rather a private car and a driver who will drive just you and your group for the day. You have to pay for everything else on top of this “tour” fee such as ferry fees, entrance fees and snorkeling fees. If you want your driver to come along with you, you’ll have to pay for him as well. Just make sure you read the fine prints and what’s included/excluded.

We had an awesome time today with Kareem. We just wanted to escape Bangkok for the day & a trip to Koh Larn island was the ideal getaway. We were picked up on time from our hotel & Kareem was a great guide. As it was a personalised tour we were able to do exactly what we wanted to do & leave when it suited us. The island water was very warm & lovely for a swim. We highly recommended using Kareem for any trip!

A great day at the beach and beyond! Fareed made our trip a great one! He was personable, super knowledgeable, spoke English perfectly and made some great suggestions that we may not have thought of. Fareed easily navigated all aspects of our day making it easy and fun. He even introduced us to a delicious local dessert that we had seen but had never tried.

A Good beach near Bangkok. A required escape from the city without the need to take a flight. 1:30 hrs drive with 40 minutes ferry or 20 mins speed boat to get to the island. The guide was very helpful (Fareed).

Absolutely amazing experience. I went with my daughter and our guide took us to see all the beaches of Koh Larn. He spoke English and was so friendly. We got to experience the ferry and he introduced us to the banana rice cakes. Must try. They were delicious. We have so many pictures from this trip. My daughter also got to see monkeys on the beach! It was a great one day trip.

This experience is unforgettable. We visited and saw so many beaches on Koh Larn in a full day. The views were breathtaking. I have so many pictures that are so memorable. I even got to see some monkeys. This tour was amazing. Definitely recommend this trip because our tourist guide was incredible. He gave us the best recommendations and so glad we took his suggestions amd was always friendly. Thank you for the best time ever!

We had a nice time on our trip to koh larn. Ahmed picked us up early and was helpful every step of the way. Even buying us some drinks along the way. Then he helped us navigate the ferry terminal and island of koh larn with tips, such as which taxis to look for. Koh larn was beautiful even though it rained. Highly recommend if youre thinking about going.
