ペギー・ノートバート自然博物館でガイド付きツアーを始めましょう。景色の良い屋上まで歩いて行くと、自生する植物やリンカーンパークと街のスカイラインのパノラマビューが体験の舞台となります。 そこから下って博物館の敷地を探索すると、キュレーションされた庭園と自然の風景がこの地域の多様な生態系を見せてくれます。 中に入ると、緑豊かでトロピカルな雰囲気の中、何百匹もの蝶が飛び交う生きた温室「バタフライヘイブン」の穏やかな美しさに足を踏み入れることができます。 その後、バード・オブ・シカゴ（Birds of Chicago）の展示をご覧ください。ガイドは、魅力的なディスプレイとインタラクティブな機能を通して、地元や渡り鳥に関する魅力的な事実にスポットを当てます。
シカゴで最も活気ある植物学の宝庫、リンカーンパーク音楽院の緑豊かなガラス張りの世界に入りましょう。 専門ガイドが、音楽院の歴史あるビクトリア様式の温室を案内し、エキゾチックな植物や珍しいラン、熱帯のヤシなど、一年中繁茂する植物を、温かく香り高いオアシスで紹介してくれます。 まずはパームハウスから。そびえ立つヤシと古代のソテツが緑のカーペットの上に天蓋を作ります。 先史時代の紅葉と滝のように流れ落ちる室内の滝で満たされた穏やかな空間、シダの部屋へと続きます。 次に、咲き誇る蘭など繊細な花々が彩るカラフルなギャラリー「オーキッド・ハウス」を散策し、季節の花々の展示や回転展示がある「ショーハウス」を散策します。 ツアーの随所で、ガイドが音楽院の19世紀の起源、これらの植物が必要とするユニークなケア、植物保全の生態学的重要性について語ります。

Ben is a highly dedicated guide who loves his work. The tour was full of insights in various species of Illinois wild animals, butterflies and birds housed at Chicago Nature Museum in addition to all other species from around the world at the Lincoln Park Conservatory. Highly recommended in combination with the Field Museum.

Wow! Just Wow! The Nature Museum was such a surprise as it is chock full of interesting displays and who knew, live animals! Our guide Bernie provided a wealth of fascinating information. The butterfly exhibit alone is worth the price of the ticket! Same with the conservatory and zoo. Bernie made it fun and informative. A great tour!

The tour was great! Bernie had such great passion for the city of Chicago and knew so much of its rich history. I had an amazing time learning about the past prairie land life of the Illinois Savanah and wild life conservation at the Peggy Notebaert museum, the vanilla beans and the Venus fly traps at the conservatory and the history of the Zoo and the life of the lion king Jabari. Bernie l’s rendition of the Lincoln spark tour was educational and fun! Love the jokes!
