We had such a great experience with Koichi as our sake tasting guide! He was so much fun and was very welcoming. I would definitely recommend booking this sake tasting experience with Koichi!

Thank you for such a kind review, Natalie! Choosing three sakes for each guest and matching them to three Japanese snacks is my favourite part of the evening — but it only really works when someone is willing to taste with an open mind, and you were. The karaoke afterwards is free with no time limit, so honestly I never know how long the night is going to run. Kanpai! I hope I get to pour for you again someday.

Good but I was too early
I have been here alone and I was the only customer at the time (8pm) so I suggest to come a bit later in the night. The owner is really nice and the sake and the snacks really good. Just come plan it for a little later in the evening

Thank you so much for such a warm review! We're really happy the sake and snacks hit the spot, and it means a lot that the owner made you feel so welcome. You're spot on about the early hours — 8pm is actually the perfect quiet window to sit back, chat with the owner and really savour the sake, and it livens up nicely as the night goes on, so there's a good reason to come at either time! We'd love to have you back at GIFT in Shinjuku. Kanpai! 🍶

Highly recommended experience, come have a drink and great delicacies!
Excellent experience! Great sake in a comfortable environment. The delicacies were things I had never had before, and I considered myself a pretty experienced food traveler.
My wife and I made this our first stop after the hotel on our first visit to Japan, and I'm so glad we did. The man here was great to talk to, and we shared many laughs with the help of the Google Translation app! Highly recommended experience!
