中国漁網 (Cheena vala) は、インドの定置式揚網の一種です。漁業のために固定された陸上設備である漁網です。インドでは一般に「中国漁網」として知られていますが、このような網のより正式な名前は「海岸操作リフトネット」です。巨大な機械装置が、直径 20 メートル以上の水平ネットを支えます。それぞれの構造物は高さ少なくとも 10 メートルで、海の上に張られたネットを張ったカンチレバーと、もう一方の端で釣り合いおもりとしてロープに吊るされた大きな石で構成されています。各施設は最大 6 人の漁師からなるチームによって運営されます。このような網は中国南部とインドシナの沿岸全域で使用されていますが、インドでは主にコーチやコーラムなどのインドの都市で見られ、観光名所になっています。この漁法はインドでは珍しく、14 世紀にインドに上陸した中国人の探検家によって導入されたため、ほぼこの地域独自のものです。
フォート コチ ビーチは、南インド、ケーララ州コチ市のフォート コチにあるアラビア海沿いのビーチです。
オランダ人墓地は、フォート・コチの訪問先の一つです。ここは、何世紀も前に祖国を離れ、自らの帝国を広め、拡大するために古代に帝国の住民が住んでいたことで有名です。この墓地は 1724 年に奉献され、現在は南インド教会によって管理されており、この墓地にまつわる興味深い物語がいくつか残されています。
コーチのフォートコーチ (フォートコーチン) にある聖フランシス教会は、もともと 1503 年に建てられ、インドにあるヨーロッパ最古の教会の 1 つであり、亜大陸におけるヨーロッパの植民地闘争の物言わぬ証人として非常に歴史的重要性を持っています。ポルトガルの探検家バスコ・ダ・ガマは1524年、3度目のインド訪問中に高知で亡くなった。彼の遺体は当初この教会に埋葬されましたが、14年後に遺体はリスボンに移送されました。
フォート コチのサンタ クルス大聖堂大聖堂は、ケーララ州にある 8 つの大聖堂のうちの 1 つです。ケーララ州の歴史的建造物の 1 つとして数えられるこの教会は、インドで最も素晴らしく印象的な教会の 1 つであり、一年中観光客が訪れます。

パラデシ シナゴーグは、南インドのケーララ州コチにある、イギリス連邦で活動している最古のシナゴーグです。 1568 年に建設されたこの寺院は、マラバル イェフダンまたはイェフダン マピラ族、またはコーチン王国のコーチン ユダヤ人コミュニティの 7 つのシナゴーグのうちの 1 つです。

We had a wonderful time in Fort Kochi. Our amazing experience was definitely thanks to Mr Anoob who showed us the sights of the area and shared his knowledge with us. He also drove us to areas off the tourist trail so to experience real daily life, and nothing was of any trouble for him. We highly recommend Mr Anoob and this private tour company.

Anoob from Tuk Tuk driver tours in Fort Kochin picked me up outside my hotel on Rose Street yesterday morning. He gave me a wonderful tour of the entire area over the course of 2.5 hours - bringing me to all the sights, beautiful monuments, temples, churches and palaces. Not only that but he stopped and waited while I took photos at my leisure and went in to several of the sights including a tour of the old Jewish Synagogue which was the final stop on our tour as well as the amazing Laundry factory. His English is excellent and his knowledge of the history and the heritage of the entire area is second to none and I was hugely impressed. The Tuk Tuk just whizzes around super fast and I’m sure that I experienced in those 2.5 hours with Anoob far more than i could possibly have done myself over a full day or even with an official tour guide. And he’s a very friendly and good-humoured man to booth. I highly recommend Anoob and Tuk Tuk driver tours in Kochin
We drove with Samir and including a self-chosen meal it was a very entertaining and nice experience. Samir is good at explaining English and the most important thing about the locations. He also helps with personal problems such as stomach bowel discomfort 😉
Jean and I spent a wonderful few hours with Abi, cruising around in his Queen of Kochi Tuk Tuk. We saw all of the main sights and went to several places we didn't expect, travelling through different residential areas and markets getting a snap shot of Abi's neighbourhood and daily life in Kochi. Even the occasional shopping stop was a fun part of the experience. Abi is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and we can highly recommend him.

How is it that in five hours riding in a autorickshaw I learned so much about a culture and a city? The driver, Abi, was not only knowledgeable and efficient, but he showed so much care for my experience. We not only saw the markets, but we stopped to speak with some of the vendors. He took videos and photos with ease in moments he knew we're picture worthy, that I would have missed. He showed me churches, temples, and mosques, but also explained how so many different religions coexist in Kerala. The time flew by and I feel fulfilled with the time and energy spent during my time in Ft. Kochi. I highly recommend Abi and anyone he knows since he has integrity, shows care for not only his customers, but also vendors. The good flows in his presence. This is what is store for you!
Abi gave us a brilliant tour having collected us from our cruise ship. Really interesting to see all the highlights & even got to see his team playing cricket.
