アダディ・マリアム / ティヤ・ステラ アダディ・マリアム アダディ マリアムは、ラリベラの教会と同様の岩窟の地下教会です。この教会は、このタイプの教会としては最南端にあり、単独で立っているという点でユニークです。この地域には他に岩窟教会はありません。ラリベラ王はエチオピア南部訪問のためにアダディ・マリアムの建設を命じたと推測されている。この場所の歴史は 13 世紀ですが、今でも活発な礼拝の場です。これはティヤの石碑とほぼ同じ時代のもので、そこからわずか 30 km 北にありますが、アダディ マリアムはティヤの異教のような雰囲気と強いコントラストを生み出しています。
ティヤ ステラ アダディ マリアム教会の近くにはティヤの石碑があります。全部で 36 個の記念碑は、高さ 1 ～ 2 メートルの古代エチオピア文化の遺跡です。発掘調査により、この場所は18歳から30歳までの男女の遺体が納められた古代の墓地であることが判明した。10世紀から15世紀のもので、石碑は意味が不明なシンボルで覆われている。岩に刻まれた剣やその他のシンボルは、それ自体がユニークです。同様のタイプのシンボルは他に発見されていません。ティヤは、アディスアベバからの幹線道路からすぐの場所にあり、簡単にアクセスできます。ユネスコの世界遺産に指定されているが、エチオピアの他の地域に比べて観光客が比較的少ない。 午後遅くに車でアディスに戻ります

Amazing tour. Ashu is such a great guide, very knowledgeable and with such a positive attitude. Nothing was ever too much and he took the time to explain things to us. We felt very safe the whole time and count ourselves very lucky to have seen such amazing sites that not a lot of people get to see. We saw an ancient rock hewn church and a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage archeological site finished up by a tasting of some local brew - an experience in itself.
