サンタ・キアラ聖堂はサン・フランチェスコ聖堂の向かいの丘に建てられた。 ロマネスク様式にインスパイアされたファサードを持つ2つのバシリカは、そのシンプルさを通して対話しているようだ。 どちらも三角形のティンパヌムと、アッシジの通りを通る巡礼者への霊的な抱擁を象徴する中央のバラ窓を持つ。
サン・ルフィーノ大聖堂の隣にあるアッシジには、ディオケサン美術館とサン・ルフィーノ地下聖堂があり、歴史と神聖な芸術が豊かな空間です。 博物館は、装飾された部屋や古代の回廊を含む中世の部屋に収容されています。 内部には、大聖堂や周辺の教会の神聖な芸術作品が展示されている。

13世紀末に建設されたこの宮殿は、アッシジの自治体権力を代表する人物、カピターノ・デル・ポポロの居城として設計された。 カピターノは秩序の維持と正義の執行に責任を持ち、都市の中世政治の中心となった。
古代都市アシシウムのローマ・フォーラムの考古学的区域は、現在のコムーネ広場の下にあり、19世紀前半にフランス人建築家が行った発掘調査によって発見された。 現在はポルティカ通りにある旧サン・ニッコロ教会の地下聖堂にアクセスすることで訪れることができる。
この場所は 1457年に サンタントニオ・アバーテとサン・ジャコモの兄弟団の命令で 近くの病院でホストされている巡礼者が 宗教行事に参加できるように 作られたもので内部は正方形の平面で、交差ヴォールトとフレスコ画の壁がある。
1226年に聖フランシスコが亡くなると、聖遺物を納めるため、彼の栄誉を称えて聖堂を建てることが直ちに決定された。 こうして1228年7月15日、聖フランシスコの友人であったローマ教皇グレゴリウス9世は、彼を聖人と宣し、同日にアッシジ近郊の丘に建てられることになる聖堂の最初の石を北に向けて敷いた。 この素晴らしい建物を発見しましょう！

I found the tour difficult to use and limited in the information it provided. It was confusing to go between the locations and I got lostbecause it did not directly show them on a map. And when I went to my Google maps, I then often lost my place in the tour. Because attractions are far apart and frequently involve many stairs and I was walking in the hot sun, it would’ve been helpful for the Guide to explain the route before starting off to that location. Luckily, most of the cathedrals also had some signs with explanations in English but I felt I missed out on importantinformation I would’ve had with an actual live tour guide. And I almost missed seeing some of the main things because they were not mentioned. I have used audio guides for other places that were far superior. I would have liked more information about the important places and to skip the restaurant recommendations.
It was OK for the money but I expected more detail about the decoration of the different churches especially St Francesco.

I really liked this guide’s information and structure. The information was succinct and informational, without taking up too much time over explaining unnecessarily. The locations it took me to were ones a lot of guides didn’t mention, or I didn’t think about. Great value for the price. However, I do feel that the website and style was outdated. The google map that was used was an older version, I would have preferred it to work in the Google Maps app. I ended up transcribing all the locations into the app for a better functioning route. TLDR: liked the actual tour, the website could use some updating work.
It’s a great way to see Assisi but it requires internet. Some areas of Assisi have weak internet and you lose the connection.

Some people in our group had trouble with loading/reloading the audio. The reason I am rating as just average is because the content was more general in nature. I would've liked more specifics/details about what I was looking at for the stops on the tour. Overall it is a good value for the price and allows you to have a more relaxed experience to tour Assisi.
This is the third tour I've taken with Walking Cap. All three were very informative. It took a little time to figure out how to use the app, but once I did it was easy. Walking Cap is a very I expensive alternative to a full on tour. The nice thing is you are not on the tour guides schedule. If you want to eat you can. If something different catches your eye, you can go explore. I will definitely use it i. The future.!
Very nice, intuitive and easy. We liked it: the guide includes the map, audio and texts. I would add a few more stops.
After some initia confusion over how the app works and if we could use it in a poor internet/phone signal area we actually found that our fears were unfounded. The Information was complete, but concise and it was great that we could do the tour at our speed.
