平等院は日本有数の保存状態の良い国宝であり、ユネスコの世界遺産にも登録されている。 寺院内の最も象徴的な建造物は、中央の堂の両側に翼のような回廊があり、翼を広げた鳳凰に見立てた鳳凰堂で、10円玉の反対の意匠として選ばれた。

全国に約3万社の稲荷神社があり、伏見稲荷大社を総本社とし、稲の神である稲荷を祀っている。 霊峰・稲荷山を登るトンネルのような見事な没入感を演出する千本鳥居で知られる。 西暦711年の創建から1300年、五穀豊穣、商売繁盛、家内安全、諸願成就を祈願して人々が集まりました。

Fantastic trip to Nara and Uji. I highly recommend using this type of tours as you travel comfortably in the scorching summer in Japan. The activities are well organized. You focus on enjoying the trip instead of worrying about logistics. Our tour guide Allen did a great job. He provided us with great stories related to the places that we visited. He was also very professional did a good job with the coordination. We did four different tours during our trip to Japan. My family and I are convinced that we did the right thing.
