ンゴンヒルズは、ケニア南部のナイロビ近くの南西に位置するグレートリフト渓谷に沿った尾根の頂点です。 "Ngong"という言葉は、サイの春を意味する "enkong'u emuny"のマアサイ語の賛辞であり、この名前は옹城町の近くにある春に由来します。東側の斜面からのングヒルズはナイロビ国立公園を見渡し、北側はナイロビ市を見渡す。西側斜面からのングヒルズは、マサイ村が開発された1000mを下回るグレート・リフト・バレーを見下ろす。 Ngong Hillsの頂上は標高2,460mにあります。

My husband and I had one last day in Nairobi before boarding our flight back home and this experience was so wonderful that I wanted to change my flight and stay longer in Kenya. We had an expert and lovely guide thru Ngong hills. Even though the hike started in the fog the views were beautiful and our guide was even more special. It was followed by a lovely full lunch and a surprise stop at two local corporations providing training and employment to empower local women and single mothers. I felt a strong sense of pride to help these budding artisans who created beautiful things. And the coffee and vegan cookies were great too!
