ウガンダのビクトリア湖畔にあるンガンバ島チンパンジー保護区は、自然林に囲まれた環境で、孤立したチンパンジーや救助されたチンパンジーを観察するユニークな機会を提供しています。 1998年に設立されたこの保護区は100エーカーの広さを持ち、面積の98％が森林で覆われています。50頭以上のチンパンジーが安心して暮らせる場所となっています。

カンパラやエンテベのホテルからの早朝のピックアップで1日をスタート。 ウガンダ野生生物教育センター（UWEC）の近くにあるエンテベウォーターフロント桟橋まで車で移動します。 ドライブの所要時間は、交通状況によって異なりますが、約1時間から1時間半です。
桟橋に到着し、ンガンバ島へのボート送迎のチェックイン。 簡単なブリーフィングとライフジャケットのフィッティングの後、スピードボートまたは伝統的な電動カヌーに乗船します（パッケージによって異なります）。 ボートでの所要時間は約45分で、ビクトリア湖や漁船、小さな島々の美しい景色を眺めることができます。
到着時には、サンクチュアリのスタッフに迎えられます。 簡単なオリエンテーションでは、保護区の歴史やチンパンジーのバックストーリー、保護区の保全ミッションなどを紹介。
カンパラへの送迎、またはエンテベでの送迎 エンテベにドッキング後、ドライバーがカンパラまでお送りするか、エンテベのホテルや空港までお送りします。
