I was looking for a way to see the basic Hurghada highlights. It turned out that I was the only person so I had a solo tour. The marina exploration and lunch were very good. The tour guide showed up on time and answered all my questions. I made a couple of mistakes; I didn't bring a headscarf so I didn't think it was appropriate for me to go into the mosque without one, and the guide didn't bring one or say it was okay for me to go in with my hat, so I missed seeing the inside. The tour guide also said he would help me with anything I wanted to buy, and I said I wasn't really much interested in shopping, so as far as I can tell that meant we skipped the souq completely; I never saw anything that looked like a souq. I didn't want to shop, but I did want to see it, and I didn't realize we weren't going there after lunch until we were back at the dropoff point. We also didn't do much walking around the old town other than walking a few blocks trying to find a less busy restaurant. So the whole thing only took about two hours. I didn't get the full experience I wanted, but I accept responsibility for that. Just be clear with the guide about what it is you do and don't want, and bring a headscarf to go into the mosque.
