Great way to see Rome. Especially at night. Rome is still very busy so lots of activity. We arrived early, however, had a hard time pinpointing where to meet. We thought we knew but couldn’t be sure until an employee arrived. Some street we didn’t need. Cobble stone streets are tough in a golf cart, however, totally understand the significance. It was a little weird getting used to cars and motor bikes screaming up behind us and the. Changing lanes at the last second. My wife and I were facing backwards and this was a ‘get use to experience’. Tour was excellent especially with Matteo (Matt). He was very informative, insightful, funny and understanding. I would definitely take a tour with him again.
I can only say we are angry. We booked a very expensive 1 1/2 hour golf carts tour your tonight. Thomaso was our driver and sent us several messages he could not meet us at the pick up spot due to a concert somewhere and was half hour late! We WALKED and WALKED and finally got to him. Communication was little to no English. We were rushed through the tour and ended over a mile from where he picked us up. He would not take us anywhere near the pick up spot or our hotel which was even closer and blamed his boss for not being able to help. We were dropped off in a totally unfamiliar place over a mile from our hotel. We had to get a six person cab for $55 back to the hotel after a one hour trip. He should have at least extended the trip to the paid for 1 1/2 hours we paid for, or taken that time to take us back, but dumped us at the curb saying his boss tracked him by GPS and would be mad!? We have used Viator MANY times and this was a complete fail. I would like a response and and refund for half this trip cost as it was not even worth $100 let alone $540.00! Viator has always been better than this including isla Capri last week.
