I joined this tour solo and found it very straightforward. The meeting point was easy to locate, and everything was clearly explained from the start. The guide gave a useful introduction to Olympia, but I especially appreciated the free time to explore on my own. It made the experience feel more personal and less structured. I joined this tour during a short cruise-based business stop and found it well organized from a timing perspective. The logistics were clear, and the return schedule was strictly followed. The tour focuses on major highlights of Olympia with a mix of guided explanation and free time. It is not a deep historical experience, but it provides a solid overview within limited time. Overall, it works well for travelers who need efficiency and reliability more than detailed sightseeing.
As a couple, we liked that the tour wasn’t rushed. The drive from Katakolon was comfortable, and the group size made the experience feel manageable. At Olympia, the combination of guided explanations and leisure time worked well. We didn’t feel pressured to stay in one place too long, which made the visit more enjoyable. It’s not an in-depth historical tour, but it gives a pleasant overview of an important site.
We had a great tour led by Theodora, who used her archaeological experience to bring Olympia to life. From her friendly hello to the tour round the museum she provided a very informative service, which meant we could make the best of the actual site to understand the history of what we saw. All round excellent and dropped us back at the cruise port in good time
We did this tour as a group of friends and found it to be a fairly relaxed way to see Olympia. The transportation was organized and the journey from Katakolon was straightforward. The guide provided useful historical background but didn’t overload the group with constant commentary, which we appreciated. What stood out was having some free time at the site to wander independently and take photos. It’s not an intense or deeply detailed tour, but it gives a balanced overview of Olympia without feeling rushed.
We joined this tour as a family during our cruise stop in Katakolon. The overall experience was smooth and easy to follow from the beginning. The transfer to Olympia was comfortable, and the group size felt manageable, which made it easier with kids. At the archaeological site, we appreciated that there was both guided explanation and some leisure time to walk around on our own. The kids enjoyed exploring the open areas more than the detailed history, but the guide kept things simple enough for them to understand. The balance between structured touring and free time worked well for us, especially during a short port visit.
We booked for the 1330 tour. We were then emailed after booking to say it was now 1245. We managed to get there in time, only to sit on the coach for about 50 mins before moving. It was a very large group and the guide couldn’t control it so frequent waiting on people and recounting everyone. For example when we arrived at Olympia we were told a 10 mins stop for using restrooms, in the end up that was over 30 mins. Same next time, 3 minute stop took 15 mins. In the end up we didn’t get the hour of free time in the town as we were running so late. It was a fairly expensive tour and was extremely disappointing. Also we booked through trip advisor and there is no support for issues

We begin collecting customers at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure, in full accordance with the “Meeting and Pickup” section of the product description. Guests who prefer not to wait for fellow cruisers to disembark may arrive closer to the scheduled departure time or consider booking a private tour. 2. The total tour duration was delivered as advertised. Regarding the time spent at each site, the “Additional Information” section of the tour description clearly states: “Please note that the sequence of the tour itinerary and the time spent at each location might be adjusted in response to variables like traffic conditions, crowd sizes, and unforeseen events. However, we will do our best to cover all the destinations mentioned in the itinerary.” Based on these facts, your refund request has been carefully reviewed and respectfully declined by TripAdvisor. For future bookings, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the advertised tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels!
Our Guide, Theodora had a masters degree in archaeology. She was very knowledgeable about the different areas of the Olympia site and local towns. She was also very personable.
