ハワイ島：マンタ・レイ・ナイト・シュノーケリング・アドベンチャー（カイルア・コナ）

When I went to the address, I drove right past it. When you get to the first parking lot, look for a bunch of people gathered together right when you come in. That is them. I went to another snorkel tour by accident and those people were really mean. These people were friendly and helpful. Maybe you get a good experience with either tour but I would do this one again. I had not snorkeled in years, but their instructions helped and I was seeing as many as 7 manta rays and was breathing fine with the snorkel tube. They gave a mask that would not fog up, snacks during the trip, music. The overall event was amazing.

A unique awesome experience. The first Manta Ray we saw put on a spectacular show doing somersaults and getting up close and personal with us. Watching these incredible fish feed on the plankton attracted by our guides lights is unforgettable

Good experience. We ended up getting to see two female rays for quite a while with the 9:30 tour running behind due to a party running late and turning around for someone who needed to be dropped off after we hit open water (it’s DARK). The guides were accommodating. Snacks were packaged chips and granola bars. It was chilly in the water and arms got tired holding on after a while.

Top 3 most awesome experience of my life! The tour guides brought the energy and were cracking jokes about not touching the mantas but if you were to take your snorkel out you could lick the mantas but please don’t. What I thought was a joke turned out to be real! 30 seconds in my first manta came and swiped along my face! It was a little unsettling at first because they are such huge creatures but they did a great job explaining although their mouths could swallow you whole, their esophagus is the size of a bottle cap so it’s totally safe! They did an outstanding job of providing all the information you could ever want to know about the Mantarays while you’re looking right at them face to face!

That they will rebook if there were no manta rays and it is a eye opening experience when you do see them

Manta ray swimming has been on my bucket list for a long time and now that I’ve finally done it, I can finally attest to what a surreal experience it is. I didn’t have much choice in which company to go with. I just went with this one because they had availability but we lucked out! This tour was no-fuss with a three-person crew of jokesters!!! Kelly, Mana, and Elio (spellings?) were all straightforward, managed expectations well, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we met them until the end of the trip. They even gave us snacks! Essentially, you go to the meeting point, sign the waiver, get a wetsuit, and board the boat. Once on, they went over safety and what to expect. After about 20 minutes, one of the crewmates secures the boat and explains how to position yourself on the UV light board and how to get the best viewing experience while you’re snorkeling. Pro-tip: practice deep breathing with your mouth so that you can relax while snorkeling and also, for those of you who don’t know how to swim, practice floating with a pool noodle. The crew will do their best to assist you if you’re not the best at swimming, but the key is to relax. One more thing, don’t try to touch the mantas. It’s illegal and the crew has to take you off of the experience (luckily no one did that on our excursion but they have had to do it before). The whole thing from beginning to end took about 2 hours (well, less than) and it was the appropriate amount of time to do the night swimming (about 30 to 45 minutes). If you’re not comfortable swimming or just wanna hang out, you can just come along and watch from the vessel. The few passengers who stayed behind said it was still cool to see the manta rays from aboard the boat. If you’re lucky enough to hang out with Kelly, Elio, and Mana, guaranteed good vibes and fun as well as a wealth of information regarding the manta rays. I hope the next time my husband and I go again, I hope they are the crew for the experience.

Unique experience for the big island. Can be a little intimidating, but was really fun. The mantra rays are huge, but so gentle.

Great night out with guides/capt Manu and Kelly. Watching the manta rays was truly a highlight of our trip.
