We had a wonderful, full day around Costa Brava with Bruno! From the pleasure of being picked up at our hotel in Barcelona, he made the drive with various stopping points to see the blue sea and rocky coast of our own itinerary. We had a beautiful stop in Tossa De Mar where we could walk and shop briefly and then on to S'Agaro and St Pol beach where we had the most AMAZING lunch (and wine!!) with his reservation. The walk along the property of Hostal de la Gavina was a highlight and Bruno clearly knows so much about this area. After another stop in Girona, we had a leisurely drive back to Barcelona. Without a doubt, Costa Brava and Bruno were a highlight of our week long trip to the beautiful coastal area of Spain.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Bruno on our day trip from Barcelona to Cadaqués! From beginning to end, everything felt incredibly personal and tailored to us. Bruno picked us up directly from our hotel in Barcelona and was wonderful company throughout the entire day. It was such a pleasure talking with him and learning from him along the way. Once in Cadaqués, he showed us around the beautiful town, shared his knowledge of the area, and even joined us for lunch, which made the experience feel much more like spending the day with a knowledgeable local friend than being on a typical tour. What really stood out was how accommodating he was. On our way back to Barcelona, he even dropped us off near some shops we wanted to visit rather than simply taking us back to the hotel. Every detail felt flexible and centered around what we wanted to do. If you are looking for a private, personalized experience from Barcelona to Cadaqués, I cannot recommend Bruno enough. Having grown up in Barcelona, spent many years visiting Cadaqués, and now dividing his time between the two, he has a genuine connection to the Costa Brava and its people. His personal experiences, relationships with local residents, and deep knowledge allowed him to share not only the stories behind the region’s famous landmarks, but also the everyday details that make Cadaqués such a special place. Throughout the day, Bruno seamlessly wove together the history, art, and culture of the Costa Brava. We learned about the many artists who found inspiration here, including Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Joan Miró, and even Wes Anderson’s admiration for the area’s unique beauty. Visiting Dalí’s home in Portlligat, hiking to the Cala Nans Lighthouse, enjoying lunch at Cap de Creus, and wandering the charming streets of Cadaqués each became richer experiences because of the stories and context Bruno shared. We especially appreciated his thoughtfulness. As vegans, we often have to plan meals carefully while traveling, but Bruno recommended excellent vegan-friendly options for both lunch and dinner and even chose to follow a vegan diet himself that day so we could enjoy the experience together. One aspect that truly stood out was the amount of time Bruno dedicated to making our experience exceptional. Spending nearly 14 hours with us—from driving us to and from Barcelona to guiding us throughout the day—demonstrated a level of commitment and personal attention that went well beyond what we’ve experienced on most tours. Despite the length of the day, the time flew by thanks to Bruno’s energy, enthusiasm, and engaging storytelling, which kept every part of the journey enjoyable and memorable. We left with a much deeper appreciation for the Costa Brava and the Mediterranean lifestyle. While this day trip is an outstanding introduction to the region, it also convinced us that there is so much more to discover and that spending a night or two in the Costa Brava is well worth considering. We highly recommend touring with Bruno to anyone looking for an authentic, engaging, and unforgettable experience.

There is no better way to see Barcelona, Montserrat, and Costa Brave (especially Cadaqués) than with Bruno De Angelis. His tours are magical and were the highlight of our visit to Spain.
