We booked the all inclusive trip through trip advisor, Mohamed Awad collected us right on time and drove us to the venue in an air conditioned vehicle which was needed for the heat, on the way he explained a bit about the temples and surrounding attractions showing a great knowledge of the surrounding areas, he dropped us off and came with us to collect the tickets and made sure we went to the correct entrance before the show, we really enjoyed the show and the experience was made better with Mohamed’s, he was waiting for us at the end of the show and made sure we got back to our hotel safely, all in all a great experience which we thoroughly enjoyed

Amazing way to experience Karnak Temple
The Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple was a fantastic experience and definitely worth doing while in Luxor. Seeing the enormous columns, statues, and ancient structures illuminated at night creates a completely different atmosphere from visiting during the daytime. Free from the scorching sunlight in the day.

Karnak music and light show
We enjoyed excellent service from our guide Nasser, who was very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English. The sound and light show feels a bit dated, but the Karnak Temple is an absolute marvel.

A Nostalgic Evening at Karnak
Overall, the experience was worth the trip. Having visited Karnak Temple Complex earlier in the day, it was especially enjoyable to return at dusk and experience the site in a quieter, more atmospheric setting with a lot less people.
We already knew that the show itself had not been significantly updated since the 1970s, so the dated production did not come as a surprise. The narration felt reminiscent of the soundtrack of a 1950s American movie. That said, the lighting was quite beautiful and succeeded in highlighting the grandeur and mystery of the temple, even if it did not reach the sophistication of more contemporary multimedia light shows.
As the show was included in our excursion package, I cannot really comment on its value for money, but overall it was an enjoyable and memorable experience.
