Whether you are a visitor or you've been living in Bangalore for years, this is one tour that you must do. There is nothing more fun than discovering old nooks and corners of a city which prides itself on being the "silicon valley of India". And Priyanka is such a friendly and knowledgeable guide. She covered the entire market along with the historical buildings, temples, jewellery shops, food stalls but it did not feel rushed at all. It felt like exploring the market with a friend where you had the freedom to stop anywhere if something caught your eye and you could backtrack to a store where you forgot to pick something up. We sampled a lot of local food. The sweets at Jodhpur sweet shop were lip smacking and the famous bombay sandwich was yum! But the highlight of the tour was the visit to the age old saree shops. It felt like we had been transported to a different era and not just because of the set up but also the prices :) I cannot recommend this tour enough. Eat, talk and shop your heart out!

Priyanka is the friendliest guide I’ve ever met. My visit to Chickpete market was the most memorable. She knows those lanes like the back of her hand and even the tiniest of stores with little knick knacks were such a pleasant surprise. We gorged on the local food, the vibrant saree store was a delight( of course the pockets go lighter, but it’s worth your penny as looking at those beauties no one fathom the prices they’re sold for!), we discovered the silver jewellery store and of course the semi precious stone stores were equally inviting. You get to know so much about the temples and the history, being patiently led from one lane to another by her. I will surely go back for more.

Priyanka is an excellent guide. As a new traveler in India, I felt welcomed and comfortable in our group tour of Chickpet Market. Priyanka explained the history of the market and we visited significant buildings in the area. Local food was tasted and top market shops visited. Visiting temple sights was also a highlight.
