徳川幕府の開祖、徳川家康を祀る豪華な装飾の神社。 日光の風光明媚な山間に位置し、鮮やかな彫刻や金箔のディテール 、 「 See No Evil, Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil」の猿などの有名なモチーフで知られる。 一般的な神社の簡素さとは異なり、東照宮は華やかな意匠と壮大なスケールで印象づけられます。 ユネスコの世界遺産に登録されており、日本の武家の歴史や芸術に興味がある人は必見です。
神護景雲元年（767年）に創建された日光二荒山神社は、日光地域で最も古く、最も神聖な場所のひとつです。 南台山、如法山、太郎山の神を祀り、古くから山岳信仰の精神的中心地であった。 静かな森の周りと神木、そして穏やかな雰囲気が、近隣の東照宮の雄大さと見事に対照的です。 日光の中心部にある自然、精神性、静かな美しさを求める旅行者には最適な立ち寄り先です。

Amane was a great guide! He knew a lot about the city and about Japanese culture, his English was great too. We had a wonderful time learning about the temple and shrine in Nikko.
I had a wonderful personalized experience! Amane was so easy to talk to and really enhanced the whole experience beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to any solo travelers!

We really enjoyed our visit in Nikko with our friendly and knowledgeable English speaking tour guide. He made the visit very memorable and pleasant for my wife’s first visit to Japan. Well worth the time on a gorgeous fall day!

Visiting Tōshō-gū was absolutely unforgettable—the details and colors were stunning. I felt surrounded by history, and it was amazing to imagine the legacy of the Tokugawa era. The atmosphere was lively yet still had a sense of sacredness. Futarasan Shrine, on the other hand, was calm and peaceful in the forest. I loved the contrast between the grandeur of Tōshō-gū and the serenity of Futarasan. This tour gave me both cultural depth and natural beauty in one day.
Joining the Nikko Early Morning History Tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Starting early meant we could enjoy the stunning shrines and temples without the usual crowds, which made the experience feel so special and peaceful.
Visiting Nikko was our highlight of Japan, and this tour made it 100 times more enjoyable. Our guide, Kai, answered all our questions about Japan and Nikko and went beyond by taking photos and sharing great recommendations! Highly recommended to anyone in Nikko!
Absolutely worth the trip from Tokyo. The guide, Kai was warm and informative, and the transport was perfectly arranged. Toshogu Shrine’s beauty and the surrounding nature made this one of my favorite travel memories.
