We had an enjoyable time with Bart tasting and learning about Polish wines. This tour visits 3 different wine bars in the Old Town, where you taste different Polish wines at each stop, while learning about the Polich wine industry. Given this was off-season in September, it turned into a private tasting with just my wife and I. Many times these tours will get cancelled at last minute when attendance is low, but Bart and operator VeloWino did not cancel, which we really appreciated and illustrates their character and commitment. We would recommend this tour to anyone interested in tasting Polish wines!

We were a group of nine women and had Bartek as our guide. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to our expectations. The tour started at 5:00 PM at the first venue, which was located upstairs in what felt like a dark and rather gloomy attic space. There was very little light, and the atmosphere was far from welcoming or inviting. It was not a pleasant setting for the start of a wine-tasting experience. We had our first wine there, and Bartek spent almost an hour talking about just this one wine and its history. Unfortunately, he seemed quite inexperienced and unsure about some of the information, and relied heavily on a booklet, often reading directly from it. When we moved on to the next place, we explained that we had a dinner reservation at 8:00 PM and therefore needed to finish the tour before then. At the second venue, we tasted two wines accompanied by a cheese board. This part was very enjoyable – the wine and cheese were good, and the venue itself was lovely. However, the timing and organization continued to be quite chaotic. Bartek did not have a watch and seemed to have very little awareness of the schedule. At 7:40 PM, we were only just leaving for the final bar. We were served another wine there, but had so little time left that we couldn’t even finish it before having to leave for our dinner reservation. When we pointed this out, the response was simply that we could arrive ten minutes late. The tour ended up taking much longer than planned, yet we still did not get to taste everything that was supposed to be included. Bartek also seemed unsure about which wines we were being served on several occasions. On a positive note, Bartek was very friendly and pleasant throughout the tour. However, considering the price, we expected a much more professional, knowledgeable and well-organized experience. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not book this tour again, especially at this price point.

Brilliant tour, Tomasz was very friendly and knowledgeable and we had a very enjoyable time tasting Polish Wines! Lovely charcuterie boards to accompany made for a super activity on our girls trip!

It was an atrocious experience. The guide, Bartek, was just bad. We were a group of 3 and it turned out to be a private tour as there was no one else joining us. Excited about that prospect? Yes! Was it worth it? Big fat no! Bartek was reading from a book, very low energy and at the first wine bar proceeded to inform us that the wine from a local manufacturer, Kamil, tasted like a riesling to which the owner of the establishment interjected and said that it was nothing like a riesling. Tasted the wine and it was not. It became a joke after that. He was searching for some pictures of a wine in his book for a while and could not find it. I promptly left after the first stop and my friends followed soon after. It was a total waste of time and I am surprised by the many positive reviews ... until I realized that the positive reviews did not have Bartek as the guide. So if you are planning on going, make sure that you do not get Bartek!

Magda was lovely and we very much enjoyed hearing her family vineyard stories and her knowledge of wines. The wine bar locations were very nice. We had a great evening of good fun and laughs, and would recommend this tour to others.

A very enjoyable tour about the history of wine in Poland. Our tour guide Bartlomiej was very knowledgeable on the topic of wine and Polish history. One of the highlights of our trip to Poland.

Tomasz gave us a great experience teaching us about all the nuances of Polish wine (which we'd never realised was as good as it was!) Alongside 5 glasses of wine - 2 whites, 2 oranges, 1 red - Tomasz was able to provide us with tasting notes, some really great historical facts about the city of Kraków, and some great recommendations for our trip to the city.

That was an incredibly fun and informative tour! You get to learn more about wine tasting in a very chill way as well as history of Polish wine, it’s very obvious that Tomasz is incredibly passionate about everything which makes the experience even more pleasant. The tour felt more individual than other wine tastings and I would recommend this to everyone!

We had a great time with Bart on the wine experience. We had five wines across three wine bars as well as snacks, and we learned a lot about Poland’s growing wine scene, as well as learning a lot about local and National history. It was a great start to our trip to Krakow and introduced us to a few places we will return to. Thank you!
