ハコのナイト ウォーク ツアーとジャングル ディナー

Amazing family evening! We took our kids (8 and 9) on the night hike with Geriold. It started with a trip to a hidden beach where we saw a sloth. It was high up in the tree but we learned about the local flora/fauna while we waited for the sloth to move. Afterwards, we went to a jungle nearby where we did about a 1km hike. We saw a bunch of animals/insects/arachnids. It ended at a waterfall! Would definitely recommend if your family enjoys animals and learning about the Costa Rican rainforest. Dinner was great too!

The drive to the hike spot was erie, but once you arrive and get settled, you realize it’s all part of the fun and experience. Gerald was an amazing tour guide, who had a lot of knowledge about the area, and a great respect for the animals and environment. If you’re someone who loves nature, and *ALL* it has to offer (expected and unexpected), this is a great tour to participate in. My family and I (an 11 year old and two 18 year olds) had an extraordinary time, and would absolutely do this again if we find ourselves in the area in the future. Thank you for your expertise and care, Gerald!!

This was our first activity and tour of our time in Costa Rica - it was an amazing way to start off our trip! Geriold was in quick communication and was flexible with some of the details which was a big help. He and his co-guide José were incredibly polite and knowledgeable throughout the tour. I don't know how they spotted some of what they did, but if there are things to see, you can bet you'll see them with those two! One of our party asked about sloths and Geriold took us out of the normal loop and found us two! We saw a variety of critters from snakes, centipedes, spiders, frogs, toads, owls, other bugs, and a scorpion (bring a UV light and they're easier to see!). We felt safe throughout the experience. You can tell they love nature and enjoy what they do and it was really just a great time. Ending the hike with a beer and a decent meal was just a cap to the experience. Would highly recommend and if back in the area would go again

Bring bug spray and a change of clothes to swim! Also wear lightweight pants and shirts for bugs!! Great experience!

This was such an incredible experience! Of all the tours we went on during our stay in Costa Rica, this was one of my favorites. If you want to get away from the superficial tourist traps and into the jungle for a real experience that puts you a little outside your comfort zone, I would highly recommend this tour. First, the guide was very knowledgeable on Costa Rican flora and fauna, including medicinal or edible plants, as well as helped locate and identify a number of amazing species of frogs, insects, arachnids, snakes, and even an owl. While the jungle at night is an intimidating experience and should be explored with caution, the guide took measures to ensure we had a safe experience and provided us with the necessary gear (protective rubber boots and fancy flashlights) to both stay safe and enhance our experience. We had the opportunity to see beautiful (but deadly!) species like the fer-de-lance (bothrops asper) snake and wandering spider. Aside from the animals, the guide was very friendly, spoke great English, and was flexible and able to adjust the tour based on our requests. This experience is not for the faint of heart, but it might just be the highlight of your trip!

Geriold was an excellent guide for the night walk. He made us feel very safe and was the most knowledgeable guide we met during our trip to Costa Rica. He could answer all of our questions about the plants and animals that we saw and since we had a smaller group he was able to cater the walk to our interest and make it a little longer. A huge highlight is seeing some of the nocturnal animals that you won't see during the day. I think the fee is very reasonable since it includes both transportation and dinner. I'd recommend to anyone who enjoys nature and is willing to go a little outside of their comfort zone!

What a wonderful experience. Our guides Stanley and Alberto were awesome and good with kids. I took my 6 year old and they were very careful with him. My son thought the giant spiders were so cool. He loved using a flashlight. Geriold was the contact for booking and he had excellent communication the entire trip. The Costa Rican food after, was delicious. My son ate all of it!! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience.

Donavan and Rico were amazing. Very knowledgeable and very personable. They went above and beyond our expectations. My daughter was nervous but they made her feel 100% safe. The restaurant El Rancho is where they took us for supper. The food was out of this world delicious.
