I was expecting a simple transfer from the airport to our hotel. What we got was so much more. Jonathan was our driver. He is very knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. We stopped off at Mi Rancho for lunch. The food was delicious! And there is a toucan that will sometimes visit the restaurant. We were lucky enough that he visited during our lunch. Jonathan also stopped for us to see a sloth in a tree on our was to the hotel. That 1 sloth turned out to be 3 sloths in the tree! It was a long commute from the airport to the hotel, exasperated by the traffic. But Jonathan made our commute an introduction to Fortuna. It was the perfect way to start our amazing stay in Fortuna.

Jonathan was great! He greeted me with a sign, made stops when needed, and dropped me to my resort with no issues. He was super friendly and educated me on the culture. Definitely recommend!

The drive was three hours long, but I don’t think I would have preferred to spend it with someone other than Alan from Lutan Travel. From the time he picked us up to the time he dropped us off, including a stop for lunch, Alan was friendly and personable and kind and filled with information. He answered all of our questions and made the ride as enjoyable as can be. He was so impressive that we will be traveling to Manual Antonio and have a secured the trip with Lutan Travel. Jorge was much more than our private taxi. From the first moment he not only made us feel very safe and welcome in his country, but he advised us on activities in La Fortuna and in a few hours we had everything reserved. Traveling with small children (2 and 4 years old) he gave us two car seats, and was very flexible with stops to use the bathroom and eat, since the trip was more than 3 hours from the airport to La Fortuna. His van was always impeccable and his treatment exceptional. When we return to Costa Rica there is no doubt that we will count on Jorge!
